It doesnt matter were or when, but all I am presented with is a lock screen, no contact number or name.

What can I do?

I obviously dont want to hack it and keep it for myself.

If someone sent an if found message it will only get though if it has internet access.

It will allow me to setup wi-fi from the lock screen correct?

No, but if you create an open wifi hotspot I think it should connect if it's using network defaults.

take it to an istore so they can check if they have it on record

Well, what I have heard, if you dont have the pin there is nothing you can do with it correct?

Turn your cellphone's hotspot on, make it open, see if the ipad connects.

Going to be so funny if the owner "left" or "forgot" the ipad somewhere, and reported it as stolen just to get a new one...

I found a piece of paper within the case thing and it was his COJ login details, I logged into his account and found his name and number.

He did lose an iPad and we gave it back to him. No reward at all

I did want to smash it.
