So I went to Capitec

The "credit card" can act as both. If you insert it into a POS, you must select credit or savings. However if you tap the credit card is goes off credit.
I know that. But the credit card account and savings account aren't the same thing.

For the guys with Capitec credit cards, what are you paying in insurance and how is it calculated? I settle my credit card in full each month, but am interested to know this cost before switching to Capitec.

Had a Capitec acc since 2010 and, apart from the first visit, have never been asked for FICA stuff.

Have 4 accounts, two have less than R10 in them but are still active

Compared to Nedbank which I used from 1979 to 2009, Capitec‘s fees are 90% less. No complaints whatsoever

I saw your post back on page 72, but others said that it wasn't possible to cancel. Capitec is cheaper than Absa if there's no insurance, but if there is an insurance cost, I'll go with Absa.
As I understand it it is but you need to provide your own insurance details.

Well I just pay the R40 monthly fee and nothing else. Will have to go buy some lotto tickets tomorrow lol.

No need to...
Good day
Kindly be advised that the Credit Insurance on your credit card is optional and not mandatory. Should you wish to cancel the insurance without replacement, kindly advise.
Kind regards

Incase you lose your job or can't pay for some reason. I don't want it as I settle the balance in full each month.
Oh, thought it was also for things like stolen card details and such.
