Now don't get me wrong, I am in no way a ANC supporter, So what is actually wrong With Zuma?
We have the rape trail, we have the babies, but thats his personal business , what makes him a bad president? he seems to be doing a hell of a lot more then Mbeki IMO

Had a chat with a car guard the other day. He said the problem is Zuma promises all sorts of wonderful things come election time and delivers on none of them.

*edit*

My personal problem with Zuma is taxpayer money being used to pay for his fat gobble of wives and the resulting multitudinous spawn.

If anything, he simply doesn't have the ability to do much. The trade unions put him where he is, and they won't let him dictate policy. Plus Gwede Mantashe is direction ANC policy from the sidelines.

IMO, he does not really have his own opinion. He see how the wind is blowing and goes with that.

Oh, and I do not think we must use Mbeki as a yardstick.

I agree except that Mantashe would be directing policy from his position as the SG of the ANC? Not exactly the sidelines.

I think it reflects the immaturity of some of the members of this board that this thread is getting 'low ratings' just because it's about Zuma. The OP is asking a perfectly legitimate question and so far there have not been any definitive answers.

I will agree with the op that Zuma seems to be doing alot more and seems to be more active than mbeki ever was.Although I cannot really judge him so early on,how much can you actually do in a country in a few years.Real growth takes decades and a population that is willing to work hard and contribute to the benefit of all.

I'm talking about the fact that he doesn't hold public office. He only has an ANC post, so he doesn't have to worry about as much media attention.

The man has great charm, you got to give him that plus he's a wily politician:)

And people rate the title not the thread... you can't rate a 5 post thread.

He starts singing and dancing whenever he gives a speech, I don't call that charm. The rest of the world is laughing at us when they see that.
I'm talking about the sort of charm that the warring parties in Burundi/DRC? talking and the same one that ended the bloody conflict in KZN in the 90s. And you can't hate on the guys ability to charm many a woman's panties to around the knees:)
As president of a country? A spineless wimp who can't decide on anything.

He is simply not a good leader. Too many of his ministers are caught with fingers in the cookie jar, with no repercussions. He is not acting decisively or following through on promises made. His judgement on basic everything is non-existing. He can't seem to grasp cause and effect, and how his personal life impact on SA in general. He tries to correct things, but in such a way that it would actually break something else completely (media tribunal, information bill, etc).

If he is the best the ANC has to offer, I can only shudder to think who will replace him after his term.

Hmmm...
- I don't see someone with sub-matric education fit to run a country (unless its into the ground which Zuma is doing)
- Fathering children with your friends' daughters (epic integrity fail imo) bringing your total count of children over 20?
- Failing to speak out against the ANCYL and specifically Mal-emma
- Dodging his day in court for his corrupt relationships
- Cronies and "comrades" only barely getting rapped on the fingers for stealing and corruption with no real consequenses - Zuma took corruption and nepotism to a whole new level

...the list goes on

I'm still trying to understand how someone with no balls can make so many babies.
LOL quote of the day!!! :)
