Sockett 775 cpu's where ?

I am busy building a budget gaming rig for a lan party i will be hosting, this pc will be one of the client pc's.

i will be using an asus p5g41t mlx-3 motherboard that i ahve spare.

What is the best cpu i can get for this MB which is socket 775

The Q9300 is not quite as good as the Q9650 if i am correct ?

I also heard of Xeon processors modified used on this M/B

Does anyone know of a good source in jhb surroundings for these old chips ?
 
I think your best bet for SCKT775 chips would be Carbonite. There are very, very few new ones still out there in the wild and you will pay through your neck to find sealed ones from places such as eBay
