hi im currently in grade 12 i post this asking all the more the experienced to answers my problem is i want to study software development @ rhodes my only concern i have never done infomation technology in high school will i make it or am i wating my time in my grade 11 year i had 78% maths nd an aggregate of 79.67 im also considering studying quantitive finance at uct which one should i go for this is causing ambiguity in my brain how is software development different from game development would appreciate if any one can help (forgive me forgive the bad use of gramma)
You can make it, even if you didn't take a computer related subject.
Maths helps btw, software development is the same as game development, the question is would you like to develop apps for companies (business/web apps) or games, or even mobile games?
Dude, watch your wording, you're going to be communicating a lot via email if you go into IT, and if you don't explain yourself properly you can set yourself up for a stupid blunder..it's happened to me.

Well, I feel if he constructed his OP better, that it was more legible, then he would not have had the responses he did. When it comes to programming, you need to pay attention to the syntax - a simple ';" could break the code if not used. If he is having difficulties even getting basic English grammar down - how will he fair with programming syntaxes?
