Solar geyser

Hi guys,

So im in two minds on what brand solar geyser to install and would like community feedback on brands you have installed. Im currently between a kwikot 200l with tubes and a solar ray 200l with tubes with the solar ray a bit more expensive.

Any feedback you guys can give on what brand to go?

Another thing is it better to go direct or indirect system.

I have no knowledge on this topic but am saving up for this

Reason is I have seen 1st hand experience on a very hot day how much pressure those pipes withstand. My exes one streams water out the overflow pipe wasting water.
All this pressure and stuff just scares me away. A boiling urn sitting in my roof makes no sense.
I will rather convert my existing geyser to a PV system

Hhmm I wil have a look at that system aswell, have you checked how much power one might still need to hot up the geyser? ie how many hours a day?

We have a split system, max i saw was about 90c in the tank
There multiple protections in presure system for over presure and temp
