I'm gonna save you the misery and not post the supposed solution here. It doesn't work, nothing does. Guess I will have to fight for my download slot at RapidShare again tonight...

thanks for the suggestion, going to try as soon as i have int bandwidth :)

Mods should probably sticky this as it doesn't sound too hard :D

Mods may delete this thread as I didn't test the solution properly and it doesn't work :(

Hey! What on earth are you doing?! Even though it did not work, didn't mean it was not helpful man - no need to remove the WHOLE post... Just a small footnote "edit: Oops, not working, my bad :o" would have sufficed perfectly! Someone might come along later and like "wow, that's one heck of a nice script, this dude saved my life, I want to have his babies" - no joke, it happens. So might I ask you to please revert your post back to its original form? :p And yes, thank you for the post - that script rocks!

"omg just buy a premium account" is kinda lame you know. Not everyone here has plastic money that works on the internet... :p

Oh come on - its a small amount of money if you use rapidshare for downloads even infrequently... Paypal is so easy. This is not 1998 FFS! The cost per month is minimal and you needn't worry about speeds/ip checks etc.

You are barking up the wrong tree here... I never said it is 1998 or that the costs per month is outrageous - But to get your hands on these things you need plastic money, something not Everyone in this world have by the way.

I has high speed adsl
I has stuff that are only available to download from rapidshare
I has plastic moneys

Somehow the technical requirements in my opinion are quite synonymous with having all manner of gadgets and credit card(s) / paypal. But hey thats just me :)

You telling me you have absolutely no way of getting 300 bucks onto paypal? No way whatsoever? Parents? Older siblings? Really good and trustworthy friends? A debit card?!? (OK - I'll be honest and admit I'm not 100% percent sure that Paypal takes debit cards, but still had to throw it in there)

REALLY?

Really. Really Really.

No, Paypal does not like DebitCards :p All my friends are in the same boat at me - 21 or under with a Student creditcard at best, with a limit so low that it is not even worth having to begin with. My mom would not let me or PayPal touch her creditcard with a 5ft pole... There is a new 'Prepaid' creditcard product in the SA market, but take a wild guess what payment options they offer.... yep, only creditcard. There are(were) ways to get a creditcard (I used it like a year ago to still buy stuff on ebay), but one had to move the funds via via via via via, took about 2 weeks+ to get money loaded on the thing with loads of extra costs - but that avenue is closed now. But I'm not too worried about that... for now, cause I do not need a rapidshare account that badly - and there are loads of other ways of getting files.

LOL @ the high5 though.

No Solution

I have a credit card and I did buy a RapidShare account once but I don't think that paying R95 a month just to download 2 gig is worth it.

And http tunnels and anonymous proxies don't work with RapidShare. I've tried a few and my downloads always fail. I'd rather use public http proxies, specifically Glype proxies, they are really reliable. That was what my first post was about, the Glype proxy script installed on a shared server and used to browse and download RapidShare files. But you will be disappointed to find that free hosts or shared hosts frequently 'reset' their servers to prevent huge downloads!! I learnt this the hard way. You will have to get a dedicated server to use the Glype script to download RapidShare files.

So basically there is no viable solution, except for wasting R95 a month...

There we go - Glype proxies everyone, waaay better than PHProxy and CGIproxy.

the rapidshare service does not limit you to 2gb per month so your argument is fail.

He's talking about paying that R95 (for rapidshare) when all he has is a cap of 2 gig (his isp).

both of urls coments fail ..rapidshare DOES have a 2.66gb a day download limit..80gb a month download lmit u do the maths...
