Rule 101: Reddit is a load of tripe. Might as well read Huisgenoot..I have been using this app for years

came across a reddit post the other day saying it is a Trojan, anyone else experience this ?
LOLBTW, GOOGLE is by far, the biggest and most pervasive Trojan of all time!
Or use your bank cards or garage cards. Those leave trails too.ALL Apps are Trojans, especially those supported by Google until proved otherwise. I detest ANY app that wants access to sensors etc that are not directly related to the supposed functionality the app is going to give you. The moment I detect something I don't like, that apps is immediately binned. BUT having said that, most mobile devices are totally compromised from the day you buy them because of all the rubbish installed on it even before you start loading what you want. So anyone who claims they don't have a digital profile on the Internet is fooling themselves. The ONLY way you will never have one is to never ever connect to the Internet or use a mobile comms service.
So you use Waze and not Google Maps then? They are in the process of buying Waze, aren't they? Or have already.BTW, GOOGLE is by far, the biggest and most pervasive Trojan of all time!
Google bought Waze a few years ago.So you use Waze and not Google Maps then? They are in the process of buying Waze, aren't they? Or have already.
Never use Waze - so I admit that I am well behind in that news. ThanksGoogle bought Waze a few years ago.

So you use a TomTom still? Mine gathers dust in some draw. Updating the maps was a pain. Yes - I have accepted that we have to share some data. My best with maps is that I can look up a client on my PC. The next day, open maps on my phone and it is the first entry in my list. No need to enter the address again. It also tracks where I have been as my GPS is always on. That way I can work out which were business trips and which weren't when I have to do taxes. Also, if I was to be hijacked, there is hope that by logging into my account, they would know where to start looking. No I did not say I dont use a mobile device or google maps, we all do. BUt I dont like it that is a given. Prefer a proper GPS though.
Never tried to use waze.
I just remember driving down to Dundee and suddenly not having any roads or anything - and the maps were updated before we left on the trip. Rather disconcerting when you don't know the area and now have no idea what lies ahead.Garmin for me. Does everything I want and more. Yes in the beginning, map updates were a problem but not anymore.

I suppose so. I like to know where I am headed lolThat's a fear![]()
no GPS can save me, not even a map. I ALWAYS get lost. Last week I went on a hike with people and I like to stay up ahead with the leader but at one point i got bored and went up ahead. A few others joined me up ahead and i warned them not to follow me. 5 minutes later we were all lost and had to turn around and walk back and find the leader on the CORRECT trailI suppose so. Google street maps on a hiking trail? No wonder you get lost!no GPS can save me, not even a map. I ALWAYS get lost. The only thing that helps me is i use Google Street Maps before i leave and check out for landmarks i can recognise and try and remember before i head out

Hehe! Yes I know! I was just pulling your socks a bit
That is like the guy who on his insurance claim stated that he turned left when the GPS told him to and collided with a tree he hasnt got planted in his driveway .
