SONA 2015

Let me fix that for you.

O come now, don't discredit his ad hominem argument

- in case the irony is lost on anybody

insulting somebody is not an ad hominem - it is an insult and impolite. Moreover it isn't illegal unless it is hate speech or intentionally undermines the persons dignity
alleging that somebodies argument is because of their political affiliations without a foundation is the ad hominem fallacy - it represents arguing the man and not the point.

While there are DA members and followers on this forum it simply is not true that support for the DA equals viewing their conduct as suitable or that supporting their conduct in this instance flows from supporting the DA.

Could it border on hate speech?

far over the line - particularly in the context given

somebody standing up in the House and saying half of the House are a pack of cockroaches wouldn't be hate speech though

CJ Langenhoven-style?

Indeed

and despite being expelled from the House - repeatedly - and his insistence on using impolite language (die taal) white shirt thugs never got to rough him or the formidable Aunty Helen (Snr) in the House

Border? It is hate speech given the context of the Rwandan genocide. She's going to have to back-pedal on that one VERY quickly and plead ignorance which won't help her own image. You cannot be in African politics and not know about Rwanda 94... or Idi Amin, etc.

She said western countries – that she did not name – had an issue with Zuma running the country because he was “a stubborn, rural man from Nkandla who is stubborn and committed to ANC policies. How can a rural man sit with them on international structures?” she asked.
What the? I don't even!
They have an issue with a rural guy running the country? Clearly she was aiming that at the ignorant.

I need to come back to some of the pre-SONA action again...

What has become of Andile Mngxitama? The EFF MP wanted to hold his own press conference (pre-SONA) but was forcibly prevented from doing so by the EFF.

What has become of the DA leaders arrested in the CT streets (pre-SONA)?

She won't back peddle Julius (as an ANC leader) called COPE and Zille cockroaches and Zuma and Mbete supported him:

"Snakes", "dogs", "cockroaches" ... the list goes on - all part of Gwede Mantasha, Blade Nzimande, Baleka Mbete standard routine.

It wouldn't be so bad if Africa learned from the past, but how many times does bad history have to repeat on this continent?

O btw in addition to the EFF and DA, Bantu Holimisa (UDM) and Terror Lekota (COPE) also left

something else that has occured to me is that SA may well have violated international convention pertaining to the foreign representatives, our agreements with foreign states pertaining to the diplomatic representatives preclude undertaking police action which places the diplomats and the dignity of their office in jeopardy unless absolutely necessary and would require that we secure them from any threat -- so assume for a moment that a brawl broke out in the House between members the white shirt men would have been obligated to protect the dignitaries (by forming a shield) rather than being the instigators of assault.

As long as you keep it TK-ish :D

My guess is hiding from questions from journalists post-SONA - Mr Mngxitama is it true that YOU delivered information to Mbete as the EFFs plans? Are you an ANC spy?

What has become of the DA leaders arrested in the CT streets (pre-SONA)?

Released and the DA has laid charges. My guess is that they are facing public violence and RGA charges; three postponements and withdrawal of charges is to be expected.
