SONA 2021

All what small businesses heard tonight was 1) that BIS is a priority and 2) BB-BEE will never be reversed which is a hint at racialised accelerated policies.

SONA is always about this, but this year they are starting to leave the white population economically behind in policy.
coloureds are also being left behind.

The gem at the start was when he confused 3 centuries with 3 hundred years never realizing there is no difference..... oh and he blamed good old dependable Jan for the lockdowns he ordered.

A strong unemployed recovery by year-end. I doubt it. Recuperation is likely to be consistent in 2023. What he meant by strong recovery I don't know... You simply don't re-enter into the market.

Agreed. Into what market? The ones you have killed off? These business, stores, farms and more simply will not miraculously open their doors again. Another Cyril Dream.

Yes and this is very scary because they already had to destroy the education system to get the standard down to their level. Now we have an increasing number of "30 percenters" and youth unemployment is already high and rising. Companies do not want to employ "30 percenters".

I have said it many a time, change can happen in the public sector including in publicly listed entities. SMMEs need less red tape, and tonight the state made it clear that unless you are empowered you will have more red tape to compete. They are right, it is a game-changer, the minority will be handicapped, and I cannot agree with that.

The much-requested economic reform, it is not for white people unless you are empowered. Personally, I would say it is great to participate in transformation, but you cannot expect it from SMME or new entrants to the market. For the most part, white entrepreneurship is being alienated, and yes, it will chase skills and experience out of the South African market.

It's good. It will kill off the last of the functional and profitable businesses that survives Covid. Once all these businesses are gone and South Africa becomes reliant on small taverns and corner shops, the cadres can go ask the ANC where their promised money is.

shame man. the world needs ditch diggers too.

I understand your sarcasm but the world is changing. The 4th industrial revolution is replacing all these low level jobs with automation. All these people will be jobless because they are either to lazy or to stupid (or both) to empower themselves to grow and upskill.
If the unions, really, want to provide value and play a significant role in their members, they should either start paying or start subsidizing their members to upskill.

And then you can ask them where the capital of South Africa is......
In a Swiss bank account.

This thing regarding anti-corruption, it is a change of clothing every year at the SONA. This unit won't investigate their handlers.

They can come up with standardised frameworks all they want, until they start punishing people with jail time nothing will change. Throw the corrupt and inept ****ers in jail.

They're black too. How are they being left behind? And white business isn't being left behind. If they are willing to work with government to make the economy inclusive.
It's already inclusive. R500 billion inclusive into ANC pockets.

No cross border crime. Julius is not going to be impressed.

What about farm murders?

I will believe that they are serious against corruption and are trying to get rid of corruption when Jacob Zuma and Ace Magashule is in jail and that will never happen.
So corruption is here to stay.
