When I try to sync, I get an error on the phone and a 'sync failed' with PC Suite.

I have no problems syncing with Office 2007 in the past 4 months or so. Even with previous versions of PC Suite. Unfortunately no work around then.

Maybe try to uninstall and reinstall everything.. And reboots in between.

Ok, I will reinstall the PC Suite then.

Have already reinstalled MS Office 2007.... :sick:

Cool letter, aqualung - the king has added his royal name to the list.

Not sure what we'll actually achieve with this letter, his secretary might scan it and delete it on the spot, or he might actually get to see it - let's hope it's the last scenario. ;)

The letter has been couriered (yes a paper version !) to the SE UK offices in London, addressed to Mr Komiyama. A covering copy has been sent to the HQ in Sweden.

My-Symbian members who attend the Symbian smartphone show in London next week will then be handing out copies to all the SE 'reps' and people who are there.

In about a week we'll start emailing it as well.

Plus we're hoping to frontpage it on mobile websites and forums, slashdot etc.

I think we'll get noticed ;)

Referring to my comment about the P1 above - you get a FREE Bluetooth GPS Receiver with the P1i, together with a free 12 month Wayfinder7 subscription.

I'm a big TomTom fan, but after testing Wayfinder7 this weekend, I'm really impressed with their software and SA quality maps.

I still like TomTom though since it needs no internet connection to operate. The map is stored locally on your memory stick.

How do you get the 12 month trial. I got the package but after 24 hours were informed that the trial expired and need to make a purchase to continue using the wayfinder..

Which version of TomTom is working on the P1. I have tried v6.01 and it wont install on the P1.

I use TomTom 6.021.

Regarding Wayfinder, you will find the 12 month activation code at the back of your Wayfinder booklet/manual. It's got a silver patch you have to scratch off.

If all else fails, phone (011) 4613122 during office hours - it's their local support line. It connects you to their call centre in Sweden, but you are only charged for the local call.

So you also got the P1i bundled with Wayfinder and a free bluetooth GPS receiver?

Yes, got the free GPS as well. Ported from Nashua Mobile to MTN SP (took 1 day to Port - impressive) and got the P1 for free on a talk 120 instead of paying the ripp-off R1800 that NM wanted (after being a contract payer for 4 years to them)

Very happy with the P1 so far:). (use to have a P910i - great phone)

Was impressed with the wayfinder software during the few hours testing it. Better than the R15K nav system in my ML.
 
New Application from Cellphonesoft

Hi all. Just downloaded a new application from Cellphonesoft called Linkboy. I places shortcuts on the standby screen applications or functions that you use often. You can place up to fifteen on the screen.

Maybe if I type slower I'll get my grammar right. "It" not "I" places shortcuts on the standby screen for apps and functions.
 
Advice on Vodacom Blackberry connect and P990i as a 3G modem

Does anyone use Vodacom's Blackberry connect on their P990i?
I'm considering paying the additional R69 a month for the Blackberry email package, but I'm not sure if its possible to utilise the unlimited data usage for internet browsing via the Blackberry Internet browser settings and then using the P990i as a modem for web browsing on my laptop. I'm trying to find a cheaper alternative to purchasing data bundles.
