Sony Ericsson P990i

@Bruce000

Yup it is the latest.

See about 10 pages back , a link to the different "types" of firmware and why the organiser type ( R3B01) is the most important .

LOL at the meerkat murder

:p

Ah, the queen is back? :)

The king wants to celebrate - free drinks for everyone!! ;)

*Tip I've just read on Esato forum : If you want 'silent mode' on P990i, just hold in the # (hash) key. Wanna turn it off? Just hold the # key in again. :)

question: if i do the SEUS update does it remove the meerkat?

well the davinci team reckon a week or two until we can do the firmware thru them....

hey web, when yours does the startup how long does it take.... mine sits on that vodablue screen for nearly a minute before any life.
kingrob, how quick is your start up with the real software?

Yip tried a master reset and also an online update but cant get rid of that annoying start up screen :mad:

The startup screen is a custom *.mp4 file (might be wrong about the file format), try Esato forums and change it to something else... ;)

*I haven't 'timed' the startup of my P990i, but would say it take 20 seconds? I'll time it for you! :)

Startup time of my MTN unbranded P990i 57 secs :p

@kingrob you're changing your sig a lot aren't you ? :p

voda branded

shutdown 10sec
startup around 50 secs

ok so the branded software aint really messing with the slow startup it seems.
busy trying to do a search on esato to remove meerkat, battling to find it, you know where it is rob?

Mine is 61 sec's suppose i can live with an extra 4 sec

I've overclocked my Philips CPU - it's running @ 210Mhz... :)

Just kidding, but I'm still sad that Sony didn't put in a faster CPU in this phone, like the 330Mhz CPU in the new Nokias. Guess it was a trade-off between speed & battery life... :(
