Actually doesn't look too shabby, but I already have a LG washing machine & microwave, thank you. Dont' think I'll EVER want a LG mobile? Mind you, if the devices interact, I might just press the answer button on my new LG mobile to start the washing machine.... :)

Would be interesting to know who stole who's design - LG or iApple?

Is anybody using Blackberry Connect on their P990i's? If so, please help with setup.

I have installed the Connect software v3.45 and it just gives errors and freezes the phone...

I need some help here. I decided before I bought the phone, I'll go flipless. Taking the flip off was easy as pie, problem now is - I need to "keylock" the screen. It's already done one or two funny things while in my pocket! Anyone know how?

On the left hand side of the phone, there is a little slider. You slide it to lock and slide it again to unlock.

Hope this helps....

You must be kidding, right?

RTFM.

Yah... I know. I'm an idiot :D

I have another, slightly more challenging question. When synchronizing with Outlook - all my numbers marked mobile, come up with a (w) after them *symbolizing they are work numbers, when actually they are personal mobile numbers*. Outlook doesn't specify mobile home or mobile work - just mobile.

Any clue how to fix it (without retyping the numbers on my phone?)

I promise, after tonight - no more newbie questions.

No, this is a very good question! :)

I've got exactly the same problem (personal mobile numbers show up as work numbers, bloody irritating!! ) & I thought it might either be because it's my 'old' P910's contacts that I just synced with my P990i, or my version of Outlook. I'm still using Outlook 2002 & not sure if it works correctly with newer versions of Outlook.

Anyone with a newer version of Outlook that can help us?

The same problem with my Outlook 2003.
If I manually then modify it from Mobile (w) to just Mobile on my phone and sync it back to my pc, the contact looks exactly the same in Outlook..??

Yes, the contact details in Outlook 2002 only has one field for 'mobile', so not sure what fields the SE PC Suite uses to sync with Outlook. The default 'fields' are : Business, Home, Business Fax & Mobile. But on the P990i, you no longer have a Fax field, it now puts fax numbers under 'notes'.

When you click on the tab 'All fields' in contacts, you can define your own extra numbers, but doesn't look like the PC Suite added an extra field for a mobile number?

Will have to play with this a bit more...

When I synched my P800 (Outlook XP and 2003) it did the same thing. It also happens in OL2003 with the SE P990. I suspect that the PC Suite gets the mobile phone number from Outlook and can't figure out what to do with it, since the phone seems to have more fields, so it just picks one (maybe the first or last?) I think this is a bug in the PC Suite rather than any other place.

Would be nice if SE can fix this.
