Ha ha! I don't know, but it sure made me think of that old David Lynch classic!

Man, I think a lot of guys are in love with that Lisa girl of CellPhoneSoft. And "Lisa" is most probably an alias for one of the geek developers there :D

There are plenty other cool software (though not enough) for UIQ3. Just have a look in My-Symbian's UIQ3 Software catalog.
 
Hektic. I just downloaded and installed tweak peaks and what a difference it makes to menu speeds. I wonder how the hell they do that? And why it isn't standard in the phone and always running?

Seems like the phone is much faster. Any negative effects?

No negative effects so far. Only negative effect will be in 2 weeks when my trial version expire! :o

Lucas Maree, (ek sou kon doen met 'n miljoen) a friend of mine, has a meerkat p990 that he uses on MTN. He has had endless troubles with his phone. At the moment the phone is with Voda in Jburg. he can't wait for upgrade.

Hi all,

I need some desperate help!

I have been trying to set up my WLAN on my P990 4 a while now and cant get it write! i am working through a home network and need some help with the setup of it.

I know this can be quite specialized but i don't know where else to go, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!:)

mtndd.... only generics SE phones could do the upgrade a couple weeks ago... us with meerkat phones have been pretty screwed until SE can mod the new upgrade with beautiful meerkat images. :(

and seems in the process stuff up a few other things...

I get the impression that Meerkat phones are more unstable than generic ones.

honestly... with SM and other gentle tweaks, my meerkat990 DOES NOT crash!
rock solid, just fooooking slow

Sorry for late response. You sound desperate. Don't know if I can help though, but will try. I've got a home network setup at home and can connect. What kind of home wifi setup do you have (Adhoc or structured Access Point)?

If I don't respond immediately, it is because we are having a Sunday family lunch, but I will check later.

I have the same setup. I am using a proxy server for my web connection and it seems to be OK. Have you set up the proxy adress if you are using a proxy?

I honestly have no clue, all i know is that i connect through a wireless router with encryption and something to do with pppoe? i know how to access the router so i could always try and check but i dont know were to look!

Sorry if i sound useless, new to the whole home network thing, thanks for your help!:)

Any of u guys also struggling to do a restore after you've backud up the P990i info? I've been have endless problems restoring my data? Any advice? Get the error - Phone cancelled operation - or something similar - after a while.
