Sony Ericsson P990i

You should have checked out this first - http://www.pielframa.com/menu_p990i.htm

Ostrich beats Croc any day of the week........ it is braile for kugels.

Yes, but it costs EUR90!!!

I've changed my Martin Fields screen protector this morning, cos the 'old' one was scratched so badly, that you can hardly write on the screen anymore (I do a lot of writing with my stylus!). ;)

Imagine my surprise when I took off the old screen protector (used a toothpick) and my P990i's screen still looks exactly like the first day I got my phone!!!

Extremely impressed with the Martin Fields screen protectors - that's why I've ordered another two. They last me about 3 to 4 months with my 'aggressive' writing. :)

Crystal Cover Bust

My crystal cover is coming apart. It cracked just below the screen and just above the connector. They are not as robust as I had hoped.

Well, it only costs $11? Order another one?

I'm still very happy with mine, was surprised to see how scratched the back of the crystal case was when I took it off to clean the phone.

I need all the protection my phone can get, hell, I must still use it for 21 months before I can upgrade again!

I just take my phone straight to the SE repair centre. ;)

If you're coming from Joburg, take Allandale off-ramp, turn left, at the traffic lights turn right & first street right again (dont know what the office park is called).

Then ask security how to get to SonyEriccson.

Well, I took my P800, P900 & P910 to them to perform software upgrades (before you could do it online) & to have flips and screens replaced.

I believe all SE mobile phone repairs are done by them in South Africa.

Oh, I'm with MTN, btw. ;)

Just so you guys know that office park is call Waterfall Park :)

Hope this helps...

As for my problem... Does anyone have a "Working" Key for Worldmate... Mine isn't working :(
Please help! Thanks... :D

Great discount, i just got it. I have always used it on my P800 & P910 but did not feel like springing the $75 for the new pro version.
But at $37.50 it is worth it.

Anyone got a working key for Swiss Manager Pro and Twinpeaks?

I've just sold my laptop - so I can't even try re-install it or install Swiss Man (Non pro)

Hi broken1, I'm not sure if this thread is appropriate for sharing serials etc. ;)

Howzit guys. Cool thread. Anyway, i'm using a SonyEricsson M600i and i love it. It's the vodafone version but has been debranded and has latest firmware installed (R5b). It's really stable. I restart my phone every night before i sleep so i never have any problems. I use the following applications:
1. Opera mini v.3.1 (it's the latest version released on 20/2)
2. Mxit (yeah i use it to chat to my girlfriend mostly)
3. Handy Day/clock/safe/expense
4. Gmail
5. Document2go
6. Mobipocket reader (need sum medical ebooks tho)

I'm also using my senheisser cx300 in-earphones for music and it's awesome. Looking for the stereobluetooth ones. Also use a martinfields screen protector. Screen is still like new. Using it for 4 months.

Some handy tips if u don't already know:
1. Get urself M3 movie encoder software to watch dvd quality video on ur p990/m600.
2. Turn down the brightness of ur screen to about 80% and u get improved battery life. It's quite a noticeable improvement.
3. Uninstall the vijay singh golf game and the phone demo video and u get more ram at startup.

Btw i typed this message on my phone and i must say the keyboard is absolutely fantastic. Takes some time to get used to but i'm now really fast and accurate. Here's hoping to a flawless firmware release with no memory leaks.
Cheers
