Ja, I think yours is unbranded, lucky you.

This is the reply I got from Vodacom to my e-mail to them yesterday :

Dear R******

Thank you for your e-mail communication to Vodacom.

New software and firmware releases are tested by our Procurement division and once approved they release the software to the Vodacare stores. You are welcome to contact your nearest Vodacare store to enquire when the software will be available. http://www.vodacom.co.za/outlets/vodacare/find.jsp

ps. sorry for the questions.

WOW!

IT WORKS!

Thanks auriga1000

My satio is now unlocked, no more irritating Vodafone acess points :)
The Vodacom/Vodafone splash screens are still on at start-up & shut down, but no more Vodafone branding in the OS.

and, with the last update in the de-branding process SEUS installed the R2AK006 software :)

no more waiting for Vodacom to release updates :)

A friend has a satio and is having a problem with ussd messages. If he dials *162*pin# to check the balance on his MTN account, it comes up with the main menu. If he chooses "1" it just shows "done" but the next menu doesn't come up. Anyone experience this or know how to sort it out?

change to Vodacom?:p

has anyone here with a satio experienced that the phone froze/restarted by itself?

has happened before i upgraded software. can happen if you overload the ram with too many apps running at once as well.
