For those who have been waiting for the W960 (die iPhone, die!) I was rather surprised to find out that the MTN Service Centre in Northgate (Randburg) have it in stock, MTN Direct also have the phone in stock. It is free on one of the Procall contracts and a pay in of about R2200 (could be slightly off there) on Mycall 100, which isn't awful considering my P990 had a pay-in of R2500 when it first came out . Personally I'm going to see if the infamous P5 ever surfaces, but if that never materializes, I would love to get his phone. I don't believe Vodacom have it (considering how long they took to get the P1, it will probably be a while still).

Just letting you know I already ordered and ported to MTN from Nashua Mobile. Hopefully picking it up this week. Pay in on ProCall 120 is R299 or an increased subscription of R319 per month.

Search you soul, you KNOW you want one.....
 
Not sure if it works for private MTN accounts, but for business it does - Phone MTN's retentions department and say you are upgrading but there is a payin, they then see if you use your phone enough but almost always give a discount on that payin cost... (oh yes thats with MTNSP)
 
so i went to nashua mobile to day and they said this phone is only available in second half of the year ???. has any one got stock, and where did you guys get the phone, branches please. ??

MMMM.... perhaps, I too am currently with nashua and considering porting, but is the SE W960 worth it I wonder?
 
Just to let you know: Nashuamobile should have some handsets by the end of the week.
 
any1 heard any news on the availability of the w960 to vodacom contracts? or of guaranteed stock anywhere else?
 
just got off the phone wit nashua mobile. no stock on w960's, and even if they had stock: on procall 1000 (at R1000-00 per month), the pay in is R900-00. hardly free. and on vodacom's top up 135, pay in is over R4000-00 and on top up 315, the pay in is over R1900-00

something'd not adding up... what u guys think?
 
Got a W960i

Got a W960i 3 weeks ago on MTN Procall 120 at R319 a month. No pay in.

Awesome phone. Had to phone around for stock but only MTN Greenstone had 1 left which I took.
 
Hmmm... seriously considering the switch. Any Vodacom customers had any luck finding the phone?
 
You've found the W890i somewhere? Please share... :D
