Found the info, thanks. It gets some good reviews, but audiophile forums tend to steer people clear of it.

Depends what they compare it with. At the price it just cannot be beat but that said; for the price a nice Asus sound card comes to mind.

shooting themselves in the foot didnt work so now they're trying to shoot themselves in the head ! Seems like the ps2 might even out live the ps3 considering the way things are going @ sony ! LBP and resistance barely pushed sales and now thery're depending on a FPS (KZ2) which is going to launch in Feb (worst time of the year to lauch a game considering people are still recovering from christmas debt) what will they try next ?

Whatever the Xbox fanbois say, I have never smelled so much fear for the inevitable Sony success strategy. The PS2 and PS3/PS4 is here to stay for a very, very long time. So at least you are assured of having a guaranteed life of minimum ten years of self imposed strife, spending time here on MyBB bashing the advances of the Sony/PS3/IBM/Toshiba consortium. What an inspiring outlook in life.

A game does not make a product, There is always another game on the way so stop praying, Sony is not about to go bust and drop the PS3/PS4 anytime soon.

funny you should mention ray tracing! thats basically what the ps3 cell does best (well kinda) better than any normal pc on the market. so i guess the console can handle it!!

killzone 2 actually uses a form of real-time ray tracing. also Blue-Steel

if any of you dont know what ray tracing is you really should google it. its pretty amazing!

3 PS3's working together can ray trace at about 5 fps but then it's horrible graphics...

now if you look at what computing power cryenigne2 uses and how a normal ps3 isn't even capable of rendering it at 10fps.. you are looking at about a machine with the power of 50 ps3's to render cryengine2 with ray tracing at 30fps.
