Sony Receivers

Hey guys, maybe you can help me out, I'm intrested in the following Sony receivers, the STR DH800 & the STR DA2400ES. Now first off all where to buy them, as they look to be very rare still in SA. And off course I want it as cheap as possible.

2nd Acording to whathifi they gave both off these receivers 5 star ratings, so I'm guessing they are pretty decent receivers in their price range. Now my question is should I be looking at something else aswell ?

I have a PS3 as my DVD/BD player, gonna buy or the B&W MT25 speaker package or the B&W 685 Speaker Package.

So can you guys please give me some advice.

There is a place in Randburg that is the best price available, across from brighwater commons, also try photo cats to play around with it first, Sandton has good knowledgeable staff

I have the DA2400ES. Absolutely love it! Can't say I've found any fault with it.

STR-DA2400ES is the one you should get. i recently got myself the STR-DA5300ES and i am blown away by it's performance. it even made my basic speakers sound better!!

the 2400es is a highly rated AV Receiver, you will definitely be happy with it.

Hmm so it seems the DA2400ES is the option to go for. Best price I've found on it so far was R8500, I thought these were suppose to go for R6000 about ?

I have the DA3300ES and it is awesome. ES btw stands for "elevated standards". The usual crowd will claim that you must have Marantz, Yamaha, Onkyo, HK etc. but the price/functionality ratio on the Sony was unbeatable.

Well if I can get it for the price that it's suppose to be yeah then I'll take the Sony 2400 ES but as the prices are now at R8500, It will be a hard choice between the Denon AVR1910 as I can get it for the same price.

Which do you guys think is better ?

The Sony DH800 I can get for under R4000, so how much better are the 2400 ES & the Denon mentioned, is it worth it to fork out 2x as much ?
