Sony Corp. said Thursday it will launch the world's thinnest and lightest 40-inch liquid crystal display (LCD) television, seeking to trump its rivals ahead of the key year-end shopping season.

Ye, it will make it easier to steal, but still, trying to steal, get out the house, get over the wall and get away will a 40" screen must be one hell of a task... and if it bothers you that much, mount it to the wall and make the thing impossible to move.

anyone notice "The new ZX1 model, part of the firm's popular Bravia series, is just 9.9 millimetres (0.39 inches) thick at its slimmest section" .... surely it should be at its thickest section?? ... anyone can make a part of the TV slim at a certain point only ... but what about the TV as a whole!!! ... thats what counts(IMHO)!!
