Normally the first 6 months:

I do updates as provided
Add apps etc.
But no major changes

Only after that.... It is play time :)

I haven't used Flash Tool yet lol, but im very tempted if vodacom takes too long..
Im currently on 14.1.G.1.534 not the newest release atm
 
Going to be getting an unlocked model from the UK via family myself, though having to wait until end December is grinding on my nerves haha. Hopefully most issues would be sorted out by then.
 
Had to set up my wife's white Z1 this afternoon after having it delivered to my work address... It was agonizing. I'm SOOOOOO jealous right now. My HOX feels like a toy now.

Viewing angles: am I the only one who looks straight at the phone ?
 
Upgrade happens in Feb 2014, can upgrade in December but the vodacom guy says no stock, Ahhh the wait continues.....
Not a Andriod fan but looking forward to having the Z1
 
Oh, so by the way.....

Do not install: xperia z1 bluetooth media, by demil.

It claims to fix some bluetooth issue
Instead...


Every 2nd text you get you need to hard reset your phone. As it beeps/tone then you cannot unlock to see your message. Only recourse is to use the red button by your sim...

Maybe it works with the newer/updated software
 
I just recently moved from an iphone 5 to the Z1 and i must say its amazing! i absolutely love the phone. Its taking some getting used to, its quiet a bit larger than the iphone and the os doesn't spoon feed as much as ios. but its a really amazing phone, quick responsive and i can drool at the display for hours.

The battery life is not great but after the update to the latest firmware its much better!

does anyone know if the Z1 will get android KK(4.4)?

also i am looking for covers and screen protectors but no one has got,any one know where i can get?

I have to take my phone back :( There's a rattling noise coming from the top of the phone when it's vibrating. Usually if I hit the home button repeatedly I can hear it once or twice.

So I got my Z1 last Wednesday to replace my Galaxy S2. So far I aboslutely love it!

I have one issue. When I turn on LTE network mode I don't get any signal... So puting it on GSM seems to work but I am limited to HSDPA. then. I have an update that I still need to do. So I am HOPING that it will fix the issue. Perhaps its something with the VC network?
