OK, glad I got mine when I did then. Seems like the time to go for Vodacom phone deals is in launch month. After that they remove whatever the deal sweetener happens to be.

I upgraded last week and got the Z2, Smart band and PS4 bundle. They didn't have stock of the smart bands, but should receive by Wednesday. They promised to give me a call as soon as it arrived...

Agreed. As it came with the phone no complaints but I don't know if I would want to lay down 1k for it. It isn't as useful as I would have thought and the implementation is not quite 100%. Buzz to wake you up alarm type thing is annoying as hell. And it's a pain to put on. Etc...
Got my phone on upgrade today and lo and behold there was a smartband in the box.

I came from the S3, the Z2 seems a bit better on full brightness but in my opinion its marginally better in sunlight

Purple by any chance? I believe the purple phone come pre-packaged with the band.Got my phone on upgrade today and lo and behold there was a smartband in the box.
