Sony Xperia Z2

Anyone else with this Xperia Lounge problem below? I tried their suggestion and it did not solve anything!

My question to Sony ZA support:
Hi, whenever i try to enter a competition for the last two months i get the message that i have already entered the competition.

Please advise what the solution is.


Their response:

Thank you for contacting the Sony Xperia support centre.

Regarding your query, kindly check if any one else is using your SEN account and try to create a new one.

There are probably other system apps that handle the Sony account that need to be cleared. You'll have to scroll through your apps and look for anything that has Sony account in it. The apps are not named explicitly so it could be com.sony...
 
Removed my sony account under Android accounts, cleared data for account manager and Xperia Lounge apps. Restarted phone and still not working :/ Factory reset next?

I've done so now, but perhaps I should give it a couple of days before recreating my account?

Else will sign up with a different email (work email) and get a new ID.
 
Can these phones be upgraded, even if the OTA doesn't work?

who are you with? Im with MTN and they havent released an update yet..
 
I'm Vodacom.

But if the rest of the world is already on 6.0, hoping we can upgrade manually somehow
 
They usually release it to different regions in phases, and then the network providers still need to "test" it which is why it takes a decade to get the update.
 
Arrived this evening - I'm on 6.0.1 or something :)

EDIT : As every version of Google is released, we seem to lose Sony designed feature which differentiated (and was better!) It seems Sony Stamina mode has been dropped because of Doze ... and people are saying Stamina was better.

A few versions back, they dropped the feature that I didn't need to unlock my phone if my SmartBand was near (and I'd set the distance). When Smart Lock arrived, Sony killed that feature.

Also, seems side swipe is gone?

6.01 arrived on my Z2 yesterday. I'm with MTN.

Enjoying it so far, phone feels great, smooth and nice new animations.
 
If anyone wants an extra black Sony smartband casing, size large, I have one, unused. I lost the unit itself about a year ago.
