Spartacus - The series

Pity the season was only 13 episodes with no ETA for the next one.

Busy watching the new 4 part mini series of Ben Hur but it's missing the hand in cock dialogue.

I guess another series that is not as action-packed, but certainly have all the sex and backstabbing, scheming and "jupiter's cock" content is Rome . Certainly worth a shot while we wait :)

Apparently the guy that plays Spartacus has cancer, so the second season (while planned), is currently on hold.

I wonder how they handle the 5000 crucifixions (of the slaves) along the Appian Way in the series?

The smell (after a week or so) must have been horrendous. A major road to Rome rendered unusable. Wouldn’t last. Just an object lesson to recalcitrant slaves.

Right so where can I find the bluray box set without having to order the thing online and wait forever? Yes I could download the thing but that way to much effort, plus I want to actually use the bluray player in my PS3 sometimes :P Also Piracy is bad MMM'kay?

me loves this show...and its not because of the riveting plot lines...:P

Stanley Kubrick must be turning in his grave. No wait a minute that man practically invented t1ts and ass on celluloid.

New teaser trailer released. I'm not so sure about the new guy, but will reserve judgement until I've seen a few eps.

Yeah that last scene in the trailer was pretty awesome, it has to be said.

'Spartacus' star Andy Whitfield dies at age 39

Actor Andy Whitfield, the former star of TV show Spartacus: Blood and Sand, died on Sunday of lymphoma in Sydney, Australia, at age 39, his representatives said.

Whitfield played the indomitable hero Spartacus in the Starz network show when it launched last year.

The actor, whose other credits included the 2010 film The Clinic and the 2007 movie Gabriel, had to step away from his role on Spartacus due to his illness, non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

"On a beautiful sunny Sydney ... morning, surrounded by his family, in the arms of his loving wife, our beautiful young warrior Andy Whitfield lost his 18-month battle with lymphoma cancer," Vashti Whitfield, his wife, said in a statement.

Starz President and CEO Chris Albrecht said he was "deeply saddened" by Whitfield's loss.

"We were fortunate to have worked with Andy in 'Spartacus' and came to know that the man who played a champion on-screen was also a champion in his own life," Albrecht said in a statement. "Andy was an inspiration to all of us as he faced this very personal battle with courage, strength and grace."

Whitfield was born in Wales and later moved to Australia. Due to his illness, he was replaced on Spartacus by Australian actor Liam McIntyre.

RIP Whitfield :(

Season 1 was far more enjoyable than Season 2 in my opinion

RIP. 39 is too young :(

Close enough. If there's a new one, I'm looking forward to Season 3!
