Speculation on imminent MTN price changes

Hi all

MTN prices changes are imminent. But seeing that it hasn't been implement yet, it gives us (the paying customers ) the window of opportunity to get our 2c in. Ok here goes:

1. Match or better Vodacom's current data pricing.
2. Allow the included amounts in top up contracts to purchase data bundles.
3. Allow data bundles to rollover.

Please feel free to get you word in, while there is still time. Who knows, a suggestion or too may get implemented if we are lucky

Alternatively, how about a much lower per meg rate for general use and avoid bundles altogether? A rate of say 20c per megabyte would see a large increase in customers and bring Internet access to the millions of disadvantaged rural communities in SA that currently have no access to telephone lines. There should be many more wireless Internet customers in SA in the future than wired ones.

What about cheaper after hours or weekend rates?

How about free throttled EDGE type speeds when your bundle is used up? Some operators in Europe do this already as well as iBurst in SA.

There are uncapped ADSL accounts as well as uncapped mobile internet accounts offered by networks in other countries.

The ouks in the know would say the backhaul is not good enought!! The more users the slower the true-put.

The service provider gets paid for offering a decent service* and the customer receives what (s)he paid for

Decent service = speeds of >1 Mbps that has 99% uptime
