yaya.. read around my crappy typing and spelling... my fingers and brain don't work so well when I just got up (err, yes thats kinda the time I get up some times :P )

Keeper, i did not mean "ingame" .. run 'em all down ingame :D. Its just stupid that people think its a game's fault when something similar happens in RL.
 
My spore name is ... Kalvaer. Got to the centre of the galaxy yesterday and I also found Earth. My next thing is going to try buy about 200 planet busters and i'm going blow up all the grox planets

Xyber, in your post...i think when you register the game for the first time you get 7 planets "assigned" to your account. those are "real" planets that other gamers can visit AFAIK, cause will wright said you can play they game for years and never have to see the same planet twice...?

OK - lets see here...i'll post a Screenshot of my main menu (and planets) and seeif they are the same as yours...1 sec...

Ahem *cough cough* ;)

I told you guys! we each get our own "real" planets on the server - If you come to my planet, you will see my creatures and stuff!

now how can i visit a buddy's planet easily?...hmmm...anyone?:confused:

this game is MASSIVE - how on earth, can anyone find earth??

my spaceship can't travel too far - only from solar system to solar system....anyone know how to travel further at a time?

Intersellar drive 5 helps. Later on you will also get protection to allow you to survive worm holes. Then you can use them to jump to other parts of the galaxy.

As to finding earth. Its actually pretty easy. The Galaxy is a replica of our own galaxy. Earth is found in the the SOL system, which is in the orion arm of the galaxy. I want give it away (unless you want to know, then pm me), but as a clue, the SOL system is close to two worm holes. When you are at the one, the sol system is on the edge of the maximum distance you can fly with interstellar drive 5
 
I went from cell to space in 6 hours. In game nick Kuga_ZA. Btw, anyone else buy the galactic edition and notice the nat geo dvd is missing?
 
It looks like we may still be getting the NatGeo disc :D

I found this on the Take2 forums.

I just spoke to EA again now.

I have requested the disks we need. Once we actually have the physical stock at our premises we'll send out emails to customers asking how they want it. The disks will probably only be coming in at the end of the month.

hah Keeper, you lukcy. I see you got a system quite close to SOL on that screenshot. I also got a system in that area, think Pienk Varkie lives there :P Will haveta evict them and create a species that can reach space in something else that pink flying pork buckets.

Would be really inetrresting to know if you systems are in the exact same spot on my game. I'll post a shot of my galaxy in a bit, just wanna finish all my browsing.

In your screenshot you seem to have a system in that area also and the area is not so dense. Do you have any cratures on a planet there?

Dude, i saw another one of your creatures, but a HUGE one - it was called an "Epic Yelk" and not just a "Yelk" :eek:

ok - i have no idea where SOL is and i have no clue how far we are from each other cause the map has no NSEW
 
I bought my copy today, the Galactic Edition! :)

R445 at Incredible.
Bought it on my connection card, over 6 months! hahaha... Installing now... can't wait to play actually!
 
So i almost got to the centre (42) but some space fedaration blew my buddy up and then me as well! wtf am I supposed to upgrade a bit more first or what - how does one travel so far AND survive? eish...

In the menu, I did see a 'create creature' mode but then when I saw you have to buy the CE, I wondered... shouldn't it be included?

I guess it's for people who want to create creatures but don't own the game.

I'm still in 'cell' mode, I've grown 3/4 times I think, I'll probably take forever to get to where you are.
