I am very worried about the defensive capabilities, Steyn and Monty on the bench, against the strongest runners in world rugby.
*prays*

Joe will do well, I'm sure. It's disappointing to see Steyn & Percy on the bench. :(

PDV is putting a lot of faith in his new blood, putting all his chips on the table in a very important game.

Steyn and Monty will get a run in the second half, last 20 if everything goes to plan.

If NZ runners start making big holes though we might see them on earlier.

I'm nervous but I really hope we pull it off.

WTF is Spies injured?

:( Joe is not bad, but damn I would rather have Spies on the bench than Watson......

I've been defending PeedeVee all this time among my friends, but now I'm starting to think the guy doesn't know his arse from his elbow.
How the hell did Sick Joe play himself into the starting lineup against the All Blacks?

Watson is needed on the bench to cover for Burger. He's only played 20min of rugby in the last couple of months so cannot be match fit. Will probably only play 60min or so.

I think Joe will have a good game. I'm worried about AD at 13 and Odwa at 14. Watch out for some high uppies from Carter to target Odwa.

Still think this is our best chance in a long time to beat the All Blacks on their turf.

Solid, not so sure tbo.
Backs would be much more solid with Steyn and Monty.
Jantjes and Jacobs are going to have to stop freight trains a lot heavier and more powerfull than they are.
How long till the cracks appear??

Gurthro, good luck, you are gonna to need it bro.

Ndugane brothers are really not good...

I really think they are just there for their skin killer... I dont want to be rascist or what not, but we have a lot of better wings and even black ones... I can honestly say that I have never seen one of them have a Habana moment where they make a try, they just finish it...

Their defence is not good either... I still stick with Chavanga and Habana on wings... Chavanga (Not even in the squad) is a good player, he just had 2 bad games, without really getting good ball...

Conrad Jantjies on fullback is okay, we cant hang onto Monty forever, but I do feel that Steyn should be in the starting 15, he is one of our future stars, we need to get him as much experience as possible, because he still makes mistakes... Jacobs has played ok, so dont mind him having a game... But somewhere you need to make place for Steyn and Ruan... And Im looking towards the 13 and 10 jersey...

*Yea fixed that ;) *

Spies could play flanker :) also 8th man......

You mean Conrad Jantjies? :p

I would play Steyn at inside centre and De Villiers at outside centre....

I hope our scrums are better than the previouse 3 tests else the NZers are going to rip us a new one :(

Yeah I would have gone with Spies before Joe. Odd decision that but Joe must be doing something right and perhaps Pierre isn't confident at the moment...

Not convinced Steyns in form at the mo, I thought he had a dreadful Super 14...

Got that right...

I disagree and have loads of respect for both brothers.
They wear their hearts on their sleeves, say little and get stuck in in no uncertain terms.
An asset to South African rugby for sure.

I'd also say little if I was automagically selected for the Springboks. ;)

Disclaimer: eat my shorts!

My 2c...

Joe should be okay for this match, he has 40 plus tests under his belt and had a huge Super 14 in a sh1tty team. I also feel Spies has lost a bit of his mojo since his blood problem kept him out. Hope he can get back to his best..what an athlete!

AD Jacobs, better tackle like demon otherwise that channel will be exploited by Ma'a'no'nou (wtf name is that?) and the dangerous Conrad Smith.

Jantjies has been solid all season, but with the expected weather, he better concentrate under a slippery icy ball.

Ricky Jan, he needs to pester Carter like only he can..might be a tough night for him if our scrum is going backwards (NO BJ BOTHA, WHY?). This is where big Joe will need to be brilliant off the back of the scrum as well.

Sckalla, Juan and Joe should have the better of the NZ'ders.

Big Vic and Bakkies will rule at line out time yet again... NZ ball = our ball.

Wings, Habs needs to get more ball, Odd-one must not let the moment get too big for him and play is natural game, he is one of the best SA finishers atm...

I'm hoping the weather is not too bad, but predictions are strong wind +- 4 degrees and rain. Does not look like conditions for a running game, so our pack better bring it on Sat.

GO BOKKE ! ! ! !
