Springboks EOYT 2012

Yep. And he's going to have heart surgery.

Where do you get that from? He's coming home to rest. He has heart palpitations:

Springboks prop Tendai Mtawarira has returned home to South Africa after withdrawing from his side's end of year tour on medical grounds.

Mtawarira, nicknamed 'The Beast', was forced to pull out of the Boks' clash with Ireland on Saturday after suffering heart palpitations. He travelled to Edinburgh with the squad ahead of their second tour game against Scotland but the decision has now been taken for him to undergo an extended rest period.

Springbok coach Heyneke Meyer said: "We've consulted with Beast and his cardiologist in Durban and although it's safe for him to play, we decided it would be best for him to return home and rest. The player's welfare is the most important consideration at this stage."

The 27-year-old, who has 41 caps, had an irregular heart rhythm, a hereditary condition, according to South Africa team doctor Craig Roberts. "He has had this several times before and it's always been managed accordingly," said Roberts. "This condition is not life threatening, but needs to be managed properly which is why we thought it would be in Beast's best interest to return to South Africa.

"He needs to have a repeat of the minor procedure he had in Cape Town earlier this year and it's important to notice that he is not at risk by playing with it, and his career is not in jeopardy."

Where was this reasoning when P Div was the coach?

Simple question? Was it PD or was it the captain winning the games? I hear he abdicated decisions mostly

Justin asked a question about PDivvy and win %

You then state that Barney was responsible for the win %

I may be dense but I don't see how that relates to Justin's question?

Wuld have liked seeing Taute on FB but well now we can see what de Jongh can do and what Guthro can bring to the table.

Well this I think will be JdJ's last shot at the jersey before Steyn's return. Really hope he proves me wrong!

Steenkamp is an ex-Cheetah so I hope he does well too!

Good team, based on the players available this looks like the best combination. I'm really happy Juan gets a start and Guthro was our form loosehead in 2011 until he got injured.

Looking forward to this game. It would be wise not to underestimate this Scottish team especially if the weather conditions are wet and windy. They have some big locks, 2.03m and 2.07m in Hamilton and Richie Grey and a very experienced hooker in Ross Ford.

1.93m 109kg left wing Tim Visser will keep JP busy.

whats with your negativity towards JDJ. why won't people and especially HM give him a proper chance with a couple of games and see hwat he can do. you cannot give him 1 game here and there where other players getting picked even though they play rubbish. i hope he shows people waht his made of and keep Steyn on the bench.

People have their favourites. It's par the course.

Personally I dig him. I like his attitude and how he plays the game. He's great on defense and not scared to get stuck in despite being on the small side. He also has a mean side step born out of the necessity to beat players with flare and skill rather than brute force.

His progress has also been hampered by injury. One cannot underestimate the impact injury has on a rugby players career.

Anyway, wishing him a solid game!!!

I said he will probably only get this chance before Frans Steyn returns from injury so he must play one hell of a game. Now to answer your question - even though there was no question mark.

JdJ does not pass, he looks off balance most of the time. Him and JdV will ensure the ball never gets to the wings. I just don't rate him.

I just watched this http://youtu.be/ZEw04Fdztic and to say that he has no-skills is untrue and disrespectful but in a 4 minute video 1 minute is spent on showing him train and another minute in him dancing so the jury is out if they could not find any more positive footage of him. He has a good side-step when it works otherwise he just attacked in space. I could be proven wrong and will admit if I'm wrong, but I just don't rate him.

Gangnam Style!!!

Sandman only the two tackles weren't in the tribute video ;)

But they did include both Namibia and both Rebels tries :D
