Spur - Lunchtime Challenge (Special)

Only saw these yesterday, and I don't go that often to Spur, but here are the specials I saw which I think deserve a mention, sorry if they have been out for a long time.

Due to the poor quality of the photos I took I have decided to not resize them for forum use and have instead uploaded them to photobucket so that you may view them in their entirety.

Well I like the fact that if the order takes more than 15 minutes, its free...

But its Spur.. so yeah.

Do they actually do the timer thing? What happened when they stopped it and it was late? Did the waiter/waitress look sad?

The waiter we had didn't do the timer thing, but I timed it as soon as she left after taking out orders.

I asked her when she brought the 4th order if it was free and she was so surprised that it was over the 15mins.

I'm not the kind of person to take advantage of it, it's already at a good price and I enjoyed my meal.

The steak is very small.

The calamari and hake is the best.

The schnitzel is fine, I am just not a big fan of it.

I have not tried the salad because it is nearly the same price on the normal menu.

I also don't take the chips and instead take the hot veg option.

The food is very filling and I also don't bother with the 15 mins although I think it came in time each time.

The food is a bargain imo.

One thing I have to compliment the Spur on, their food stylists and photographers really do an excellent job.

<drool>

But alas, I'm on a diet ... :(
 
The one restaraunt (if you can call it one) that has given me food poisoning over the years.
I wouldn't want to rush them, not that I ever bother with them too much anyway.
 
That chicken salad is massive. The waiter also didnt give me a timer. Whats up with that? But the food was ready in 9 min.
