Vertex is the good drive that impressed the anandtech writer AFAIK, I'd probably get that drive for my Linux install though, 32GB is more than enough.

Not sure of the performance and specs, but the prices seem fairly reasonable for 150/100 and 200/160 read/write drives...quicker than a raptor...

Thinking in the same line, my Linux system partitions (/boot, /root & swap) are only about 15GB in size and they are virtually empty. Price is still a concern though.
