If we can just get a local SA mirror it would be grand. Anyone up for uploading close to 25GB of files somewhere local? :)

Yes, but you need the launcher to log into your account and update the game. You can launch from the .exe after that.

Picked up a logitech extreme 3d pro for R300 yesterday only got time late last night test, lost track of time and went to bed at 3:30 this morning.

Took me some time to figure out how to actualy do a mission missed the quantum travel part lol.

Nice. It is much easier to fly with the Joystick right? Especially the twist and turn part.

How much does this game cost. From their website it looks like $60. Is this correct or am i missing something

It feels more realistic but find the mouse to target easier but okay in fairness havent played with a joystick in years will continue playing with the joystick

Took me a while to bring down an enemy ship in the training do you find it easy ?

TBH targeting via a mouse is easier, you can follow the target more accurately. With a stick you over/under correct to much the whole time, or at least I do. Once you get the hang of it though it's like walking lol.

The cheapest package is $45, which gets you either Star Citizen the MMO part, or the Squadron 42 single player campaign. You can pay $60 to get both. It's effectively two games in one for $60, which is not a bad deal.

If you find yourself overcorrecting with the stick, try editing your sensitivity curves in the control settings menu. You can dampen the response so that tiny movements of the stick won't cause massive overshoot.

As for mouse aiming, I'm very much an old school space simmer, so I prefer fixed guns and using the whole ship to aim. It just feels so much better and more natural to me flying stick rather than with a mouse.

Totally agree with you.

@profeet this game will come out, it has a insane budget and developers world wide. It might take longer than a normal game, but the final product will see the light of day.

Yes that is exactly what I find to wrt the targeting.

How can I upgrade my ships weapons

There is no way to do that in the PU currently. You can earn REC (rental credits ) to rent weapons and ships for use in Arena Commander by playing online matches such as Battle Royale, racing etc. Earning weapons for use in the other parts of the game is still in the works.

Thank you.

Well you can use the rented ships and weapons all through the game currently. But that is also bound to change as I understand it. What ship you have Kensei2605?

Yeah, it's changing as of 2.4. Rented equipment will no longer work in Crusader, since you can now earn alpha credits.
