I don't like this click and move mouse to turn your character. Is there a setting you can change so that it feels the same as in WoW. I feel detached from my character

huh? My character moves exactly like my wow chars. WASD or mouse to run, then in combat, LB+RB to move & turn while 1-0 are keybindings.

LMB+RMB? By default you just have to hold down RMB to turn using the mouse :p

A and D "rotate" your character unless RMB is held, in which case they act as strafe keys.

Just saying :o
 
I sorted out the movement :)

I was using left click to turn LOL

I am on level 5 (Jedi Knight) Brysorro

So far so good

LMB + RMB together = run ... so you effectively run and steer with mouse only leaving your left hand free for action buttons during PVP etc.

Would never autorun in combat, no. But I'd rather move with WASD and use mouse to fire off abilities than hold down both mouse buttons and only have access to the numbered quickslotted abilities while moving around.

Personal preference, I guess.

I was just under the assumption that you moved around with both mouse buttons down. My hand cramps just thinking about it :p
 
What I've done is remapped my strafe keys to A & D (originaly Q & E), then I can use Q & E for abilities as well, using RMB to turn left & right.....works great for me this way, especially pvp to kite a player.....keybindings for me the same as in wow.....so easy to switch between two games :-p

Getting 210/220 ms on mweb 4mbps latency. Used to get 250ms but mweb has improved it in the last week/2 weeks. During intense battles it will go to 270-300ms but still playable, this is only when face quite a few opponents at a time.

Get the odd lag spike that cause the game to disconnect but it isn't regular. Only happens about once a day.

Seems M-Web has definitely sorted out gaming with them, either that or BioWare has some awesome servers. Either way I'm quite happy with 200-300ms, I can remember WoW where 600ms was acceptable :twisted:
 
Hey first post! I love SW and I would love to play TOR now but I'm the idiot stuck downloading it for a few days :( Anyone in JHB, around Randburg who can sort me out with the client? A six pack on me!
 
Also, where are the SA players based? I don't wanna log into the game, play for a week and find that everyone's been playing on other servers :/
 
Hopefully it's because I asked them to look into tor's gaming traffic.

I work in Randburg if you bring me a storage device biger than 20gig I you can come get it again tomorrow

Either way I'm loving low latency pings (relatively), I ran a little 3 man last night & I asked the other two what there ping was, 50ms was the average for the one & he said his record low was 7ms, I mean damn, is he playing in the server room or what :twisted:
