Is there anyone in the Centurion/Pretoria area that I can get a copy of the working version after patch 1.1? I've got this issue that some people seem to have with the English Assets 1 redownloading itself the whole time. I've tried it on my laptop as well, still the same problem.

Apparently the one sure fire way to get past this is to get another working version from someone and copy it onto ur PC.

Billtong PM'd me to fetch the files from me tomorrow, you're welcome to get it from me too then. PM me if you're still interested, and I'll give you directions. I stay in the general wapadrand / silverlakes area.
 
I am not sure if anyone in SA got a box copy of the game, or if everyone did the download. But I bought the box copy today (in the UK) and when I looked inside I had 2x product registration keys. Both different keys on 2 identical looking cards. The wording and everything is completely identical. Nothing to suggest that one or the other is a trial account, or a game time card or something.

Anyone shed some light on this? Did I just get lucky, or is it possibly Bioware/Lucas arts, with a good strategy to get more people online and paying the monthly which is where they should make their money anyway?

Ya, While I could not google up a forum thread of someone in the same boat as me. I did get the inverse which was people who's sealed boxes arrived with no registration code in them. So it is not a far stretch to think that the machine on the production line somehow released the card into the box, but got snagged and so did not actually land. Then when the next box comes along (ie mine or similar) The card that is released, dislodges the first one and both fall into the same box.

Well I guess one of my friends is going to be lucky.

You got lucky. My CE from amazon.com only had one product registration.:)
 
Anyone in PTA East, Silverlakes/ Faerie Glen area that could lend me a hand on getting a hold of a patched up copy as I'm getting issues with attempting to update with the patches.

Would be greatly appreciated.
 
I spent yesterday d/loading the client and used cheapcodes to buy the serial, and used payfast to do the transaction. I must say, for those of us who don't use credit cards, payfast was a painless experience, and cheapcodes seems to have really competitive pricing. My only gripe with payfast is that their site is currently down, which is a pain for me since i realised I need to buy a game card, even though I get 30 days with the serial. At least they have a timer to indicate when they'll be back up.

Now, for a longtime WoW player, what to do next. I've always played on PvP servers, and wish to do so with this game. Some suggestions please.
 
I been playing for a while now - this is my first MMORPG - must say Im having fun! Just a pity I didnt look to see where other SA players are server wise - Im on DXun Dun server. Will probably create a new character once I know what Im doing LOL
 
I bought the key today busy downloading the client.

I hope to join you guys soon on Hidden Beks :)
 
Hidden Beks the way to go....hehe, not a PVP server though, which in my opnion not a big deal, as you can still do pvp warzones. Unless you enjoy being ganked or are a ganker....lol

Last night we were about 32 saffers online (Republican Knights) till when I went to bed around 10pm. Great bunch of guys in the little time together so far.

Anyways, which ever server you join.....have fun!!

Definitely want to join PvE server played on both PvE and PvP with WoW and I really prefer PvE.

Will join the light side - Maybe roll a Jedi Sentinel :)

Yeah sunday night seems the time when its the busiest but saw 20 peeps on regularly during the rest of the weekend. So so far so good for the Republican Knights guild.
 
Hey guys, finally have the swtor client courtesy of boerwors (thx agin mate), but was wondering where the most affordable and reliable place is too buy the cd key, can anyone point me in the right direction, with thanks
