Star Wars: The Old Republic!

Hey guys, finally have the swtor client courtesy of boerwors (thx agin mate), but was wondering where the most affordable and reliable place is too buy the cd key, can anyone point me in the right direction, with thanks

2 local - I'd rather go to one I know: cheapcodes.co.za (zapsgaming), they sell keys and game cards.
int - g2play, offgamers, gamekeysbuy. other ones I can't remember now.

Local SA guild is on hidden beks, both empire and alliance. Stefan9 has more detail on that :)

I tanked the False emperor HM last night on my assassin.

1) It was sooo cool seeing HK-47 again from the KOTOR series. Too bad I had to kill him. Then again he DID try to kill me in the KOTOR 1 & 2 games, so fair's fair.

2) I missed a bit of the storyline because I joined the group late so I had to spacebar spam it, but I was rather caught off sides seeing Darth Malgus as the false emperor/final boss. It felt good killing him the same way darth Sidious was taken out.

Other than that, the only lvl50 content I've done was an 8man Eternity vault normal run, which I tanked as well (I had the 2nd lowest health pool in the group. :o). The Soa platform fight is pretty cool, I enjoyed it. It just bugged a few times leaving no platforms. :/

I hate my browser for automatically showing white text :(

/puts Voicy on ignore, but makes a note to PM him later :p

For info regarding guilds on Hidden Beks, for those not reading through all the pages...hehe

Thanks Beavis, will definitely give you guys a shout, Imperial Knights was the dark side guild wasn't it?
Also on a side note what are other gamers latency in game like & what ISP are they using, I'm not complaining M-Web 1mb is giving me around 200ms to just under 300ms at the worst, just wondering what the rest are getting.

I'm getting 210ms on Web Africa ... usually 600ms on WoW using the same connection. Bioware's servers are very responsive. (Ignoring WZ's for the masses of course - although I haven't picked up issues)

Yeah dude. I'll be on from about 6. Either with Torque or Sinne, so you can try me, or Bewarned is generally on early as well. :)

Hi! Can someone explain something to me please?

If I buy the game from the above seller, HOW do I go about downloading the game?

When you add the key to your origin account it gives you the option to download the digital copy. Roughly 20gb though, so getting the files from a buddy is usually the best bet.

No worries I'm on shift till 7pm so won't be home till around 8, then it's SWTOR till midnight

Did anyone get into slicing pre-nerf, was speaking to another guy I was questing with & he was telling me that on his main he has like 10mil credits thanks to slicing pre-nerf. I decided to go for Biochem but was wondering if slicing is still worthwhile?

Started playing last night and have to say I'm liking it so far. Only level 4 now but I'll keep an eye out for a guildy tonight to ask for an invite. Character's name is "Yogodo".....or something like that :P

lost interest already. Back to wow. Cant see myself doing the leveling grind again. Fundamentally, its not much different from WoW. Way better than previous attempts at competion for WoW. Im sure many people will love it, though. Can only be good for MMO's if it prospers.

Odd. Levelling was the fun part: storyline, progression, seeing the choices made in your class quest unfold, etc.

The end-game content bores the **** out of me. Grinding, grinding, grinding and repetition en masse.

Can't stand that. Pretty much game over for me. But 350-odd hours made it worthwhile getting there.

I'm totally with you on that, so far levelling has been the best experience in an MMO for me & I've been a WoW subscriber since Vanilla, quit WoW & so far not looking back, if end game gets boring for me well I can always enjoy another classes story, so much better knowing you have to go to the next level area due to something BIG that happened within your class story, was boring in WoW when you hit a certain level & thought "Oh well time for Gankerthorn Vale as I'm now 30", much better to have a reason to move from planet to planet, that & Datacron hunting is entertaining.

I've got all the crons (a mission in and of itself) and that's something I'm not interested in doing on another character.

I've had fun and it's been the best MMO I've played by far but there's not enough "different" end-game content. And while it would be nice to play Sith side, I feel I've invested far too much time and effort on my main char to be arsed to do that all over again.

Here's hoping Secret World and/or Guild Wars 2 offers something truly unique and meaningful.

Hi

I got the game key from cheapcodes.co.za
It states that there is no active subscription on my account but I activated the game.

Shouldn't there be a 30 day game time with the game?

You have to link an active credit card to your account or buy a game time card. Then you can cancel the sub and still get your 30 days. Pretty crap way to have to get your 30 days free, but what else can you do.
