Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens

the only thing I could really get out of the new trailer which surprised me was that a clone managed to become a jedi
 
This no Luke thing is ****ing with my mind... That's not him in the X-Wing btw... I'm hoping he's on Yavin at the academy or out looking for new Jedi applicants, it's generally accepted that the new Jedi order will be separated from the government as much as possible to avoid the same situation happening again.
 
Yeah that is a helluv impressive trailer. The atmosphere is spot on. Any bets this is going to surpass the original trilogy?

1. Han shot first.
2. He made the first movies by fluke. Continually tried to mess them up afterwards.
3. Then came the prequels.

Now I'm not saying JJAbrams is good, he messed up the Star Trek sequel, but I'd rather see JJAbrams Star Wars, then another Lucas Star Wars at this point.
 
Did anyone notice Leia? Also that last scene just before the trailer cuts you can see the black Jedi just about ****ing himself ;D

He didn't mess up Star Trek, I loved that movie. The second one wasn't so great but the first was class.

But Star Wars wasn't a fluke, not at all. George Lucas was once a very gifted director. He had a clear vision for Star Wars and executed something that had never been done before in cinema. Remember he was one of the most promising young directors already since American Graffiti, and he went on to direct Raiders of the Lost Ark.
