I like and enjoy both for what they are (Sci fi and Sci fantasy) and the different elements each component brings.
Discovery vs Voyager vs TNG vs DS9 vs Picard
Prequels vs Sequels vs Mandalorian vs Clone Wars vs Rogue 1 etc... They all add something unique and I appreciate and enjoy them as such.

I am currently busy re watching ToS. It has aged considerably well.
Latest season fell off of a cliff. What a waste. But seasons 1-3 were AMAZING.

both, I am a child of both worlds - Roddenberry, was a visionary _ all his works have the tell tell signature, of someone that tap into a creativity beyond what the intellect can conjure up. StarTrek shows a plausible, possible future for humanity. Earth Final Conflict, gives a view of a collective ..bound together in perfect harmony, but the individual remains,....a glimpse at the core of humanity ---the great non duality.
