A lot of times someone gets this idea to use the little electronic man inside your computer to ask a series of ridiculous questions. Questions such as how do I become a test driver, how do I become a motoring journalist, or how do I clip a hangnail on my big toe.

The answer is almost always the same, tons of advise, no real information, a somewhere you get a good recipe for a toasted cheese sandwich. i too have asked the question on this forum. I have asked the publishers, bloggers and beggars for advise, I've made those Nigerian spammers look like they are new to the game, I saved up a bribe fund and almost lost a kidney, and it seems to be working.

One of my articles was featured as a readers article on wheels24.co.za. and that, to me is something major. If the views on that article is sufficient, I stand a good chance to get other articles featured, and that way, I get to do what Ive always wanted to do. All it takes is a click, a comment, or a simple share. You can delete it afterwards!

Apparently its all about social media, its size, and how well known you are. So, without wasting any more of your time, head over to this link wich you already read somewhere here on this forum, follow me on twitter, or just tell me to go away on facebook!

Thank you all.
@EG2505, thanks for letting me know, ill try to figure out whats wrong - as for the Honda Brio, thanks for that article, actually planning on driving one in the near future, Honda seems to have lost the plot somewhere, and from what I've heard it's not bad, but, like a certain athlete locked in prison, its not good either

sure, anytime

drive the brio, youll love it as much as I did,

especially its engine, its so smooth and fuel efficient you think its electric.....

VAG? Is that short for vagina?

I like my cars the way I like my women - dirty, old and german.

@2505 - I've actually driven a couple of Chinese cars yesterday, will post the review by the end of the week, and if the brio is like you say it is, then you have peeked my curiosity.

@Rouxenator - i am pro-choice. VW has lovely cars, and the new VW bakkie looks stunning, I just think that majestic charm was lost, You used to know it was VW when you saw the beetle, or even the golfs, they had such a big selection of cars, and all of them had something unique. Now though, you get the vivo, and add all the optional extras, resulting in an overpriced dull car. The only thing you get is the warranty, but then again, do you want an old car with new car warranty, or a new car you can afford with a warranty?

Brio isn't Chinese, its a good old school Japanese car (although built in India like the i10)

I've been driving my rental Brio for at least 2 weeks now, yes there are small things that bother me,
The glass tailgate, really worried about it cracking when you slam it shut,
No alarm, c/l yes but no alarm that i notice.
And that eco light that's a bit annoying.

Also very strange working stereo with no CD player or preset buttons.....

Oh yes, and the Chinese alarm clock noise it makes if the door is open and the key in acc

Otherwise brilliant, all rounder, will be reliable for many years foward......

I know, but with badge engineering and all the manufactures being together in bed these days you never now what to expect. With the Chinese cars i really go more than expected, so that is why I mentioned them.

i have booked a testdrive for the brio for the 21st, and after hearing what you said, I am actually looking forward to it. Just have to get used to the looks though. :wtf:

if the looks bother you so much, I hear theres a face-lift coming soon;
(no more all glass tailgate)

and there's a sedan version (Amaze) as well as a MPV version (mobilio);

all that now missing, is a 1/2 ton bakkie version and a coupe version and assemble it in SA,
all the boy racers will want one;

Thats actually not a bad idea! We need to be able to identify more boy racers, and then run them over! The '95 CRX was stunning, use that as a concept for the a Brio Coupe, we need small fun cars.

My wife actually drives a 2013 Picanto, and I saw your problems with it in the review, but I love that car, despite the issues I have with it. Yes, it is more than the but, considering the kia looks like Kermit the frog climaxing, and the Brio looks like a rapper with sterling silver front teeth.

The facelifted version looks good though

Brio sedan or Brio puke hatch?

What ever the dealership has, I would prefer the Hatch. But getting them to answer is the problem. As soon as they hear review, they assume press, and thats where it goes belly up, quickly.

Truth is i am just a jackass with a phone, so no idea why they panic.
