State capture inquiry begins

Ace sounded just like Showerhead in an interview yesterday, as if the legal process was happening in a far distant universe, for which he had no personal responsibility.
He has to sound like that, for his devoted fans....

I know this all needs to be done above board and and and so that this lot get removed from power and all that properly, but its starting to get to the point where a few well placed "accidents" would be very very welcome.

The orange suit beckons. Will be interesting to note how and when the NPA kicks of this campaign

As much as I believe that the authorities must act whilst suggestive criminality is being exposed. They can’t act without compromising the integrity on these commissions are structured on. Once you start to alienate the witnesses not too many will speak openly about their involvement in a crime.

Since, legally, these witnesses can’t incriminate themselves, once the authorities start to investigate, they will also need to investigate these incriminations which are a technicality in prosecution terms due to the amendment. The method in which these commissions are engaging in with witnesses is in design to investigate ‘predetermined’ suspects without giving them the leisure to avoid incrimination. I am quite sure the commission teams are working with the prosecution authorities on how to approach individuals on a case-by-case basis.

Once the report is submitted, the recommendation therein is likely to be drawn in conclusion with the prosecution authorities. Even then, it may take years to put certain people behind bars.

if Ace goes to jail, then he'll conduct his business from his cell, and he'll be virtually untouchable.
1st thing will be a R2 billion tender for a certain Free State prison upgrade for staff, parking etc - to be completed before his sentence starts. And R2m TVs etc.

Pretty much..... If they ever see the inside of a cell, it would look more like a hotel.
Reminds me of this:

La Catedral was a prison overlooking the city of Medellín, in Colombia. The prison was built to specifications ordered by Medellín Cartel leader Pablo Escobar, under a 1991 agreement with the Colombian government in which Escobar would surrender to authorities and serve a maximum term of five full years and the Colombian government would not extradite him to the United States. In addition to the facility being built to Escobar's specifications, Escobar was also given the right to choose who would guard him and it was believed he chose guards loyal only to him. Moreover, the prison was believed to have been designed more to keep out Escobar's enemies and protect him from assassination attempts, than to keep Escobar in.[1]

The finished prison was often called "Hotel Escobar" or "Club Medellín", because of its amenities. La Catedral featured a football pitch, giant doll house, bar, jacuzzi and waterfall. Escobar also had a telescope installed that allowed him to look down onto the city of Medellín to his daughter's residence while talking on the phone with her.[1]

It's slightly confusing but it looks like he is gone, as in no longer an ambassador and no fall back to Head Office.
I doubt he will remain at HO after resignation but I don't know how it works tbh.

I looked the article again and it does indeed look like he not only resigned his post of ambassador but also from dept. of foreign affairs.

I starting to like the way you guys think. Or is it perhaps that you guys are starting to think like us? ;)
The only thing that changed is that I contemplated voting ANC when CR took over.
