Hi guys

can anyone confirm whom of the following 3 currently offer static IP's on their Fiber network as a ISP, with Infrastructure via Metro?
Need to start thinking how I'm going to make the move from my current Axxess on Telkom ADSL (with a static IP) over to Metro + ???
(Long term I'd like to be on CISP but in the end I require a stable static IP to work with ym CloudFlare setup, and ye I know I can do dynamic update, it's just always been buggy causing major head aches my side).

Metrofiber
Axxess
CISP

We dont as yet but should during the next couple of weeks
by the looks... you have 6-8 weeks to get it "resolved" :)
to simplify the moves I will switch from ADSL->Fiber on Axxess (aka Telkom to Metro) and then do the ISP -> CISP if you can provide Static by then.

Doesn’t Axxess have a 6 or 12 month cancellation claw back? don’t think you’ll be able to switch just like that. Not sure how it simplifies things by going from adsl to fibre on one ISP, then moving? They’re two completely different services?

As for the Axxess switch. I'm on a month to month at the moment...
I also have my own modem, so should be able to switch from ADSL to Fiber simply by changing what Axxess use for infrastructure, (no modem supplied by them) no 6-12 month claw back, they have no justification for it,

This allows me to move onto fiber network, and then cancel Telkom as thats outside Axxess... and this also allows me to have continuous service... (I work from home so can't have a interruption), and well if they Axxess is not able to assist/accommodate me with this well then there is no reason to stay with them at allllllll. (pity CISP can't offer ADSL service, I would have switched long ago already).

Once on Fiber, I can then do the switch Axxess to CISP, again with some planning and support by PBCool I can get this done without interruption...

Fibre costs a whole lot more to install than ADSL, either you pay the installation costs or there is some form of clawback for cancellation in a certain time period.

Seeing as fibre is a new service- and Axxess are likely covering some sort of startup costs, you will be bound by their standard Ts and Cs. Rather just cancel your DSL and order the fibre from your new ISP. Simple.

... MetroFiber is busy with new rollout her pin JBay, as as such anyone that ordered TP's before they go live get the rollout at no cost.

For Axxess there is no cost,

But will look at everything closer to the time. Axxess as NO reason to try and recover any cost from me.

not my first rodeo...

Just check the Ts and Cs carefully. These generally aren’t designed to apply to some and not all.

We dont as yet but should during the next couple of weeks

Finally, was about to cancel my 2nd line and move it also to WebSquad as they are giving me Static IP for long now.

What is the ETA date?
