We have a cloud server, that hosts client information in a lot of folders.

That client information is shared via a file distribution service that is compliant with a number of standards we require.

The problem is that we need to be able to sync the client data on our cloud server with the services host server.

So when a user updates or updates a file on their laptop, it will in turn update the services host server. Then I need to sync to our cloud server.

Anyone know of a tool that is suitable for that? It would need to be able to cater for SSH keys
 
Use rync.
Google "rync ssh" and you will find links on how to transfer files using ssh.

Hi OP,

What OS's are your users running in the environment?

Are you wanting to sync user data to your "Host Server" or between the "Host Server" and the "Cloud Server" ?

You could script this with Rsync script.

Users access the files via HTTPS, on PC and MAC. We dont have access to the cloud server provider, its a service provider.

But our server is Server 2012 SR2
 
Is there not a tool that I can install on the server that will just connect to the remote SFTP server and just sync both ways?

Okay, but you want to have it live. How is the server going to know there was an update, and then make the connection to sync?

Most, if not all, of the changes and work will be done via the users. So the updates will be mostly cloud. I've tried a tool, and I see that it "pushes" the updates to the server no problem.

It looks like the server cant "push" the updates to the cloud though, and I need to setup some kind of schedule.

I can live with that. Any reason why I shouldnt use this solution?

have you looked at btsync(seems they are no known as resillio) sure this will work for you..
