Hi All,

So Ive realised the need to study again(I have B Tech Degree in Environmental Health) as I reached a stage of having been unfulfilled with my career.

Having matured, I now want to become a Civil Engineer but Have to study part time full time dad and husband. Matric maths close 80%, physics 49%.

Applied for admission to UNISA but waiting.

Can anyone help with the following? :

Will i get in based on matric mark?
UNISA Ciivils course outline info?
Modules?
Level of difficulty?
Fees?
Bursary available in year 1?
Which years are theory and which are practicle?
Any projects?

Thanks. If you're a student of civils at unisa then please write to me. if you have additional useful info then chuck it in there!

I'm not at UNISA but I can try help out

1) Matric marks are everything :D . Unisa isn't known for rejecting students last I checked

The rest ) Can't help

What some Universities do is recognition of prior learning as well as work experience. So if you have any course certificates those tend to help with admission. Funding is gonna be tough as most funding agencies prefer young fresh minds.

Have you tried looking at other Universities to see what they offer or if they at least have part-time bridging courses that can help your struggle
