stupid slow adsl

Yes it is an international site but at least now I know it's not only me that has problems accessing it so I guess it is SAIX problem as suggested.

Hmmm, that confuses things a bit since it's still not working on SAIX from my side.:confused:

Besides that url the actual game times out when I try to logon as if the server does not exist, been like that the whole weekend so far.:mad:
 
SAIX-based, from Pta and I had no slowdowns yesterday between 6pm and 11pm.
 
I have a very strange problem as I still cannot access this site: http://www.terracorps.com/

even though I asked a friend of mine who is on the same do package and he has no problems with the site at all.

It's as though telkom is blocking it from my connection, I have lodged a "fault" but so far I've had no response from them.

Does anyone perhaps have any ideas as to what has gone wrong or changed?

Right, that works with the website BUT it still does not help me logon to the game which is also timing out.:confused:

Funny thing is that for the past 10 years I've had no problems with either the website or the game and never had to use a proxy for that site before last Thursday.

Any other ideas as to what the problem could be?
 
I can't remember the correct terminology to explain to you what's happening, but it's basically an error with the SAIX cache and your line.

This was a similar thread a while back:

You could try and enter the proxy itself into the game, the ip is (I think): 196.25.255.3

Thanks for your help as at least I have the webpage working now.;)

This problem started around the same time others were having problems with speed and connection etc., so I think it's probably something telkom has changed when they "fixed" the problems others were having, since before that the website was working perfectly without me adding a proxy.

I'm still waiting for telkom to come back to me about the fault lodged, but I guess I'll have to keep nagging them until they hopefully sort it out.
 
The last time i complained to TELKOM isp about the slow speed, the "lady" said that they have been upgrading their NAT servers??? who knows what she really meant.

Oh ya, she also said that she could not test my adsl line as i was phoning from the same line and it would give a "BUSY" tone. Ha, take that, you dual channel thingggg.....y.
 
@teraside, telkom seem to have sorted out my problem with that website and game as now everything seems to be working properly without a proxy.:D
