Stupid stupid flu virus!

Actually 2l a day isn't normal, you drink when you need to. The whole 8 glasses a day thing is a myth, you also get water from foods you eat, hell even coffee
I was always told you can’t count coffee as water? Which puzzled me since it’s what, 98% water assuming a drop of milk?

Sooo in a twisted fate of events. I went to the pharmacy for some other meds and decided to do a quick rapid test and… POSITIVE

I can only imagine the Pfizer shots, although waning, is why it’s so mild cause last years one before my shots was like being beaten to death by a bus with hot spikes. I can’t even remember those two weeks..

Now what really sucks is I’m supposed to travel on Thursday. Guess who’s going nowhere :)

Possibly cause of the old belief that it is a slight diuretic, but you need to drink a ton of it to counter the hydration benefitss

Also Vitamin K2. Without it the body cannot adequately metabolize Vitamin D3 which amongst other things, can lead to calcification of your arteries. Hear of many folks supplementing D3 but often they do not speak of Vitamin K2.

No you don't need K2 supplements cause your body makes it's own from K1 which is easy to get in large amounts from green vegetables.

You didn't need a test to confirm. We already knew.

RIP

K1 and K2 are not the same. K1 gets extremely poorly absorbed by your body. Also we are talking about people taking large doses of D3 here, when you do that you need to up your K2 intake. Very difficult to achieve from diet alone when you do this. Eating pasture raised egg yolks is another way to get your K2. Grain fed chicken eggs are nutritionally speaking quite poor.

You're such an arse.

Never said it was. I said your body synthesizes it's own K2 from K1.

K1 gets extremely poorly absorbed by your body.
Sure it's poorly absorbed, but found in high amounts which negates the poor absorption.
For instance 1 cup of spinach has around 1000ug of K1 which even at 10% absorption is higher than the recommended daily intake.

Yeah like I said, our body produces it's own K2.

If you think you have a deficiency cause you don't eat vegetables then sure go buy K2 supplements, but otherwise I just don't see the point.

Not that I can convince you of anything, but my track personal experience kinda differs from yours...

Haven't had Corona, and haven't had the flu in 4 years... Last time I saw a doctor, it was a dentist...

Your nutrient intake overlaps too much.

Let's take your stack...

1 x Berocca, (same as multi)

1 x Vitamin C fizzy, (same as multi)

1 x Zinc, (same as multi)

1 x multivitamin (you should be eating your vitamins for the most part, not drinking them)

and then my Rx meds. (wrecking your gut health)

Then 2x a week Vitamin D. (get 20 min of uvb sun a day... and eat healthy)

I also take an anti-inflammatory once a week for just-in-case. (Inflammation should be handled with diet, exercise and water, not a random disprin)

At this point, you really need to rebalance your intake, and understand why you are taking so much of one thing, and so little of another (omegas come to mind)

Maybe sit down with a nutritionist, instead of taking fizzles at R80 a tube.

And drink more water, if you can, 2l a day is normal...
Yeah i've always been a big supporter of the pharmacy lol. I should really have a few business class tickets by now if they let you earn miles...

Yeah Omegas are a gap. I thought a Nutritionist only focuses on weight problems? Do they focus on immune-system and other issues from vitamins and minerals?

I really don't think that goes far enough. People who get influenza should be rounded up and kept in camps indefinitely. For my protection.
I wouldn't mind having to go to a "recovery center" when sick to avoid others and just get good treatment and rest.
