Stupid stupid iPad!

My iPad, Macbook, iPhone all work just fine with the iTunes store...

Seems like a user problem. More cheese with all that whine?

You don't pay for the game, only if you want to buy anything instore. The game has had over a million downloads, so they are having a great sale on their "mithril" - the in game currency. I bought some over the weekend, but this morning it didn't work.

After speaking to a consultant now, I think I know what the problem is. Over the weekend I was using my wifi at home. Not sure if they can pick up the address (I have it set up so that Netflix works). And at work I use the 3G or work wifi.

It must have picked up I am from South Africa. Apple support didn't specify that, but they referred me to their terms and conditions blah blah blah

Stop playing games at work dammit!
:D

Just tried a regular purchase in the Itunes store - and it went through without a hassle. So apple has a problem with the fact that they can't authenticate that I am from the USA, but it's ok to buy from their main store, just not from other applications? Bull!

Google wallet works fine for me no matter what country I input. Apple should go get some advice from Google :D Sure no one is perfect, but some are harder than others.
This guy seems to think content is limited in SA too though
Well amazon and Google Play music are a no go, just pirate, if the content owners want to make it impossible to buy from them then so be it, it works out much cheaper

Me neither. Google just works. I don't have the USA store, I have the SA one and the content is more then sufficient for me. I honestly can't complain.

What I find totally unacceptable is that iTunes blocks me from making in app purchases with my itunes credit, but if I sign onto itunes themselves, i can make purchases directly. That to me is double standards. If I can't buy in the one, I surely should not be able to buy in the other?

I have absolutely no hassles with paying for content. But why is the SA store so pathetic? I mean, the game I love to play is not even available? And the Kenyan store no longer accepts SA credit cards. So no luck there either.

Already advertised my iPad - will advertise on here. Won't be able to use the work Wifi on Android, but I'll make sure it has 3G. Tired of the in-app problems.

Dunno, Ive never struggled to buy anything on android.
I know there have been apps in the past that I looked for with my Nexus that weren't available - I was just curious to know if that was still the case. I gave the Nexus to my kid, just hope one day I'm forgiven (the other one has an older first gen ipad). :)

So you don't know if the problem still exists either… Stupid stupid Nexus… :p :)

I already answered that in an earlier. Sucks about Kenya though.

I have not had a single issue buying from overseas iTS.

The one with the Nexus is going to be giving help to the other when they're older, as the iPad child is never going to learn nor understand real IT - you've just done him an injustice :(

I will of course give your opinion the consideration it deserves.

We can't buy music from Google.

But almost all apps are available here. I think developers can restrict their apps to certain countries for legal reasons E.g. Netflix..

I just hate apple. Should have stayed away from it. I would love to buy the apps, but it's not available to me in South Africa. So I have to resort to getting a US account. and now I can't buy in app games.

With Android, it works. I log on and I can download - simple!

Dont blame Apple for our draconian laws which limit the sale of games...
