Subaru fans...

I see Subaru SA Facebook page advertising a new STI30 version to be launched in SA soon. Has 260 odd KW. Should be epic. 0-100 in just a whisker over 5sec.

We have a 2011 Outback diesel (like the one in the photo). Absolutely love the thing. So much power and torque. And still nice quality interior for a 7 year old car.

We also have some other Subarus in the family. All much loved.

A question is regarding tyres. Also pictured are the current tyres on our 2011 diesel Outback. Big chunky off-road ones. Wondering what they will need to be replaced with when the time comes. Any recommendations? We don't do a lot of off-road driving at all.

A couple of guys on this forum own Foresters iirc. I'm very disappointed with the new Impreza, and for the first time, I'd take an Evo over an STi. EVO 10 FTW!

The Evo 10 is stunning but the motor isn't as strong as the older ones. The Evo 9 is the last that is cast iron and features MIVEC. It's the one to get...

Thinking of trading me Rav4 for a Forester
Would recommend. The cabin and the engine noise of the Forester are quite a bit lower than the Rav4 both being 2.0L CVT.
The 8inch infotainment is better in my opinion than the Toyota system even if there is nothing wrong with the Toyota system except resolution and responsiveness if you compare.
Subaru has Apple Car Play and Android Auto on the 6inch base model and top-spec 8inch screen.

I would highly recommend the EyeSight safety system and adaptive cruise if you want to take the higher specs you get reverse automatic braking included something more rare from other brands.

Have an 18" XV myself.

Loved our old Forester 2.5XT SG shape
I grew up with that car. Was really sad to see her get sold. 12 years old 230 000km. New owner still has it and moved to CPT.
