Subaru fans...

If I had to choose which Subaru to buy, I'll go for the new Legacy GT with the 2.5L turbo engine...

To all the Evo lovers: go to youtube, and there is a vid (20mb) of the old and new STi vs Evo.

All I can say is that the new STi does 1/4 mile in 12.9. The Evo will be there in a while...

Dont even bother mentioning the slalom test...

So time to revive the Subaru fans thread. In my opinion one of the best buys you can make and my reasons

Few cars have such a distinct rumble.
The symmetrical AWD drive does exactly as promised.
They are one of the safest cars around.
The AWD system would beat most 4 x 4's .
Insurance is cheap.
Not a car that gets hijacked.
The N/A car are famous for doing 1 million miles on a original engine.
They have rally heritage.
You have to drive one to understand why

How do you figure this?

I am a huge Scooby fan. Was looking for one when I changed my last car. Was looking for a 2006 or 2007 bugeye - but couldn't find anything with under 150K on the clock. So I ended up with the OPC instead.

There is quite a big Subaru community join on FB the Subaru parts south Africa. You will be surprised the bargains you find.

There is a guy on this forum that belongs to the Subaru Club.
Always loved the car, always loved Rally cars.

I bought a 2011 Forrester 2.5X in August last year.I had a go up Sani Pass and could only make it to the 2nd last bend when the left front got in a rut and would not go any further.Seemed like a loss of power as well.I had to edge my way backwards to the next bend and turn around to go back down...my wife was out of the car at that stage saying she didn't want to go over the edge with me!!Haven't tried again, but the road was bad at that time...improved a lot since then.

My favourite would have to be the gc shape

I drove a friends 2017 Impreza WRX a few weeks back. I was underwhelmed. Possibly because his has the CVT. Off the line and up to 120km/h I rate a stock Toyota 86 will put ears on it.

The newer scoobys just dont cut it anymore ... bugeye , blobeye , hawkeye FTW !!!!!!!!!

they to heavy and to much electronic interference. But nothing some modification cant fix.

Ya they too soft for my liking. But ive seen some amazing stuff done to these newer cars like nice aggressive body kits , louder exhausts etc
