suitable GFX for 1440x900 res

My bro is planning on upgrading, but resources are limited so I need some feedback here please. I dont have much experience with this lvl of GFX

This GFX would be hooked up with an AMD Phenom 2 (AM2) 720 Black Edition.

well 1440 is very low - pretty much anything could handle it without too much trouble. 4850 is a good choice yeah, or maybe a 9800gtx or even a regular 9800 should be fine.

cheapest 4850 I could find is R1230.

5750 +_ R1350incl @ PCInternatinal.
Beats 4850 and has DX11 support + Eyefinity.

I'm using an 8400 with dual 1440x900. It's fine, cost under R500 more than a year ago, but strangely the new drivers don't work well with dualscreen. they say they're compatible but they don't work on my machine.

But I digress. Pretty much anything on the market is enough.

But probably on 3 year old games on low quality. I played Titan Quest (2006 game) on low details @ 1360x768 with a 8400GS and it lagged terribly.

A G31 motherboard with GMA 3100 onboard graphics can run at 1920x1080 (or 1680x1050).
