Inter Target Cristiano Ronaldo
Manchester City are in the headlines once more as it is claimed that they are prepared to smash the world transfer record to sign the world's best players...
Will never happen. Some players cannot be bought.
KLAAS-JAN SAYS NO
Remember at school, when a certain fad swept the playground, you simply had to have one too. Pogs, whistles, those deely bopper things - you would whine and whine until your mum bought you one.
Well the fad at the moment seems to be turning down obscene amounts of cash to play for Manchester City. All the cool kids are doing it. First Ronaldinho, then Iker Casillas, no Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, who tells The Sun this morn:
"There was enough interest in the summer but these weren't the clubs we had thought about.
"Manchester City didn't meet the criteria we wanted. Manchester United? Maybe that would have been another story!"
Oooh Klaas you cheeky chappy.

Eish poor City. Even with bags of cash they can't attract class players( except Robinho who now must be wondering WTF)
Why on earth did they buy City. Surely Liverpool would have been a far better bet. Sure they would have had to pay a lot more for the club but at least they could attract class players. After all it's about success not money supposedly
Easier for them to replace players that are not on big contracts like in liverpool.
If I was to buy a team I would do the same, buy a team in the middle of the table as it would be easier to replace the whole starting 11.
I think they going about it all wrong. They wont sign K.a.k.a, Ronaldinho, Messi or any of the superstars that are on Robinho's level.
They should be looking at young players that are breaking into the big time. Offer them great contracts, and they might come.

Giovani would have been a good purchase for them but is now being wasted at Spurs.
Too true... but then again, the truly great youngster wont come ot them either. Super Mario or Bojan certainly wont look to swap their teams for MC
Isnt Chelsea looking to buy him? He could replace Kalouless![]()
Offer them crazy contracts and they might come. They are young, so they will do it. The ''older'' players will be the hardest to bring.
@ Alan - Man City dont need 8.
They have some really good players there already. Petrov, who was probably the best crosser of the ball in the EPL last season - he has been injured this year tho.
Sean Wright Phillips
Ireland
Robinho
Those are 4 players that are really really good.
Alexandre Pato of AC Milan would be a good buy. Two brazilian strikers playing next to each other would be a nice sight![]()
