Sunfoil series 2015/2016

Todays sunfoil games, day 1:

Titans vs Cobras: 344/7: Were in big trouble til QDK 117 and Chris Morris 73 not out came to the party. Surely the selectors need to stop ignoring QDK. Its not a question of whether he is a better keeper then ab or not, he is in better form as a batsman then 90% of SA batsman.
Williams 40/3

................O M R W R/R
T Shamsi 30 13 54 6 1.80

Shamsi is killing the Cobras

Lions have started great in their defense, looking forward to the rest of the games

Lions have the best bowling attack, as long as they put some score on the board they will always compete. Think it will be between lions and titans for the title. Other teams look weak.

Viljoen with another 10 wicket haul for the lions.

I don't see the titan's losing all 20 wickets very often. Very strong battling lineup.

It is just a pity that the games are not shown on Supersport. Despite the video highlights available.

I would love to relax on a weekend watching some local cricket.....

Poor ratings killed the broadcast sadly. It was Super Sport Series back then

Duminy making the best of being released from the squad to get some form back. But I don't see him getting back in the playing 11 in the next two games IMO

David Miller spending some time in the middle...

PS. they are trying to dry out some wet patches on the pitch !!

I stand under correction, but whenever Duminy has been dropped from the national team, he has scored 100 in a domestic game.

Day 3

Titans 141 & 187

Knights 76 & 255/5 (52.2 ov)
Rossouw 97

Knights won by 5 wickets

======================

Dolphins vs Warriors

Still no play. Warriors won the toss and will bowl first. Played delayed due to wet outfield.

======================

Cape Cobras 570/4d

Lions 167/2 (68.5 ov)
Cook 86*

How is the maritzburg outfield still wet? What terrible drainage do they have?

Good to see Cook getting a hundred and rossouw a 97.

Cook 86*

Credit to the Knights for fighting back from their disaster first innings. Rilee putting up a fight for a place in the Proteas' starting IX.

Cook's ton also helped his cause (if there is any sniff of him getting in), but dashed it a bit with a low second innings score.

I wonder how much rain they had then. Doesn't help their cause to keep future games played in PMB.

There is no vacancy at number 3, 4 & 5, so I don't get Rilee's logic in allowing Erlank to open instead of him if he's serious about being in the Proteas XI. A big score opening considering he's already part of the squad would've given him a chance to be considered ahead of the poor SvZ. His scores elsewhere right now will only attract "but Cook scored more while opening".

With Cook's age clearly a factor, Reeza Hendricks' solid 69 opening against Marchant, Nkateko, Shamsi, Dala&Wiese (easily the toughest Sunfoil Series attack right now) is of more value than Rilee's knock in the greater scheme of things. Plus he smashed the highly regarded Shamsi.
