Good evening guys,

Thank you for the amazing work on this. Does anybody have the yaml code for the solarman entities (the equivalent code but for solarman) or point me to the right place to find it?

Thank you, its now occurring to me that it changes the attributes automagically. I can get the card to display now but no figures are coming through. I think I tinkered too much through the different pages on this topic. Going to remove and do a fresh install again on HA and start from scratch

Cant get it working :(. I can see my solarman values on other cards so not sure what I'm doing wrong.

You need to make sure that the entities you define in the card match your solarman sensors. Have a look at the developer tools -->states in HA.

The battery runtime on Slips card so useful. We lost street wide power last night (a few hours after the loadshedding slot). Was deep in sleep so never even knew except for this morning when I saw the street whatsapps. House still running, card tells me at battery at 42% , house will run until 8am.

Also love my other automations , which triggered since it turned off everything on essential (but non-essential like the washing machine workloads, bath geyser, and lights off because battery SoC was not in range) . Between the washing machine and geyser, if they had turned on at their usual slot, I would have flat batteries now.

Shows that you can only have a proper setup with automation!

Really don't know if we unnecessarily complicate our lives (yes, and it's lovely) compared to all the folks that install the stuff in the usual manner and have all the heavy draw stuff on non-essential and don't in my opinion optimise their setup.

Non-essentials will automatically be off when the grid is down irrespective of SoC.

Yes, and that was how I started with the geysers on 'non-essential'. Then there was a loadshedding slot (or other) during the day, when there was enough PV being generated to run those loads but could not access them as they were on the non-essential side. Example, a full day without power, but I couldn't use the sun to heat the geyser.

This is why I say, we add 'complication' by keeping everything on essential but you then do need automation to manage that to extract full value out of system, so that something turning on doesn't eat up all the battery in those worse case situations.
 
Grid should only feed in once battery reaches 20%, are you sure all mappings and settings are correct. In this specific instance something looks "off"

Any chance of a rotating non-essential? For example, I only have my Geyser and Stove, so would be nice have both. Or a way to show two images but not have the "load" split because I don't have a sensor on each.
 
I don't think your essentials are supposed to run off grid while your batteries are still on 66%. I may wrong here.
It really depends on what you set to. If your SOC level is set to 40% and you have battery at 70% with the setting export to CT, it will feed the essentials.

If there is no grid, then the above is ignored and ONLY essentials is powered.

Nope. You'd need to use the default icon.

In the screenshot provided the SOC is set to 20%, hence my comment.
